That humbucker is gorgeous - plenty of grunt but with a lot clarity. These are definitely Fender's best sounding noiseless pickups. I had both of their first generation (hot and not) and found them really dull.

@ yeah. I bought it even before the Ultra 2 was announced. I also have an Ultra 1. That roasted neck of the 70th edition is amazing. I haven’t touched my Ultra 1 since I got the 70th haha mainly because of the neck.

Is it me, or is the volume pot on the strat very very loose? Not as in falling off, but there's almost no resistance to turning the knob which makes it very easy to accidentally turn the volume down by brushing your hand against it.. esp' if you play with hand near the bridge saddles?

People without Fenders complain about Fender, but the Ultra II strat is very well made and sounds great. Do you know who doesn't complain about Fender guitars and basses? Professional musicians. Whether they're made in northern baja California in Mexico or southern California in the US, those employees/ craftsmen are entitled to a livable wage. If you want an Asian guitar buy one, they are made well sometimes. Certainly, Japanese guitars are very nice, and some chinese guitars are also excellent. Buy a 120$ amazon guitar if you want. But don't kid yourself; those are not made with the same attention to detail with the same quality of electronics as higher cost guitars. So, let's be real. Some people are fine with shoes that dont fit, and pants that dont fit, and glasses that don't compliment your face, or they're fine with the worst possible speakers for their TV. Don't be that person. Get more out of life.

I despise how fender charges so much for so little and make the same guitar every year. They celebrate features that are on a $500 guitar. The new one new feature at a time that way they can have a new model each time. Zero innovation

Sorry. A strat with Bridge HB isnt a strat.... Position 2 , 2 singles in parallel is what makes a strat.... Cant do it with a shitty coil split..
