6:25 you might be able to use wedge plates like parts 41769 and 41770 to make a smoother transition (or should I say TRAINsition? 😂) between the 6 stud wide front piece and the rest of the train, or you could use longer wedges to make it even more gradual. I think that could turn out really cool!

Haha! Puns are the best! 😆 I had considered the wedge plates and even using slopes on snot build, but I rail'ly didn't like the look, imho! haha

@@TealBricksinParadisa Ah, okay. Well, your city is on track to be super awesome, so I hope it doesn't go off the rails and run out of steam! 🚂😂

@@DuckInGameStop hahaha! The city is still chuggin along thankfully! It's a heavy load to carry and it's a slow takeoff! Fingers are crossed that the bridge ahead hasn't been sabotaged cause it would be a terrible plummet to the bottom of the gorge 😂

I love the new intro. The colors are still great and the creativity is on point. I also love how you switched the train cars and cars out each loop.

Awesome! I'm glad you like it too, dude!! The song I found for the train action video inspired me to push it further and create more interesting visuals! I'm stoked with how it turned out haha 😄

In my humble opinion, I also like that all the cars have 8 studs because I am interested in having a driver AND CO-PILOT

Great stuff like always 😉 also in your fast train mock.... I know you like tiles and I know that the car trailer is not finished but you know me o notice stuf 😉🤣🤣🤣 When I saw you using those 6x6 tiles I just had to wonder..... I mean my thoughts went to those 6x6 grates and for me that made more sence EA rain lighter etc etc....yes I know it's not real 🤣🤣🤣🤣 but I saw you were using them in the train base so you have them 😉😉🤣🤣🤣🤣 Not wanting to disrespect but you know me by now I just wonder why people make choices and every ones tast is different..... But you know I like your designs and thought processes..... Curious what the rest looks like.... Have fun building

Hmm I like your thinking and not a bad idea! I hadn't thought about it at the time. One reason is I only had a couple of them before this whole train build and ran out of them, so they are on my list to order more. Another thing is that I would end up adding tiles on the left and right sides (tire path) anyways, because I don't like cars driving on bumpy studs haha. However having the remaining 4 wide running down the center be the grate seems like a cool idea. Those 8x8 grates are great structurally as well. I might just give it a try whenever I get more of those pieces! Thanks! and glad you like the trains Felix! 😃

The intro was so epic, that now you have to include stop motion in all your new intros. I'm sorry, but I don't make the rules lol. I really the protocol you came up with regarding the size of vehicles, and how it still makes sense with regular cargo trains. I'm kinda hoping TLG will start scaling up trains to 8 studs wide (especially since we're getting more and more 8 stud wide cars, even out of Speeds Champions). Can't wait to see your next projects! While the building videos are my favourites, I still like your other MOCs. After all a city cannot be all just buildings, even 60 years or so in the future!

Hahaha! We shall see, I doubt I have the patience to do stop motion all the time 😝 But I might be more willing to when I get inspired by the source material haha! Yeah the building videos are awesome, although they do take me a long time to create!

This whole concept fits minifig scale just brilliantly Hans and that train - oh my gosh such a slick design 😍😍 I´ve spotted a rattling palmtree somewhere in the vid and think that is the only reason why lego would not go that route of 8-wide trains...you´d loose a stud on each side of the tracks - especially in curves - which would add up quickly in a city layout...lego needs that limited space we have, to sell sets to us 🤪 That hinge-mechanism on the car transporter to fix the liftarms position is as simple as great and I just can´t wait to see your twist on the boutique hotel !! Take care my man 👍👍
@TealBricksinParadisa2 жыл бұрын
Haha yeah I don't have any expectation that Lego would make 8-wide trains! I think more importantly, 2 other reasons are that 1. Cost: Bigger trains = more pieces = more expensive trains sets = kids especially are priced out of the train category, not to mention AFOLs turned off by the price increase. And 2. The AFOL Lego train community is a massive community! and they are already heavily invested in 6-wide trains. Changing scale now could possibly irk a lot of hardcore enthusiasts as all their existing 6-wide train sets would then become incompatible! Even at 6-wide fitting the trains with curved tracks into a city is space consuming! You're absolutely right, 8-wide will just further complicate that situation...and that is exactly! why I'm not planning on doing trains at all in Paradisa City...😂 I can't wait to unveil the boutique hotel!! It's not too shabby I think haha! Thank you so much for watching the video! 😊

It looks good but let me entice you with a proper scale, trains be 10 studs wide while road vehicles be 8/6 studs wide
@chriscummings4206 Жыл бұрын
True, but the 10 wide trains would require a room 50' x 50' to have decent curves. I build 8 wide trains and semis. The main issue for me is height. 20 studs is the maximum (for those long autoracks) to keep everything looking correct... if that's the way to describe it. I try to give every train 7 studs of clearance on each side of the track center line. I've always been interested in model railroading since I was a little kid and collected up hundreds of back issues of Model Railroader and some of those books about trains and signals. And believe me, figuring out the signals, even non-functional on a railroad is mind boggling. I will be building train signals for the rest of my life.😂
Great video bro I love all the details on techniques using this And will you ever consider using 9 V train tracks I think 9 V train tracks are pretty smart but also they have some errors because I've heard if one is slightly off connection then they all don't work from Ford on that connection Other than that I think you did a good job creating this moc and I've never seen anyone build a train cart that holds cars I think that was really surprising and really cool very cool ideas Love the intro bro! 🌶 and speaking of cool I've made a lot of progress on my hospital and am about to do all the exterior glass for everything for all the floors since I received over 150 1×6×5 glass panels and I had to share this train joke Joke: i tried to get a job as a railway conductor, but they didn’t think I had enough training.😄

😂😂😂 You could say his career was 'derailed'..😂😂😂 Thanks Jo! Glad you like my train build! 9V is old school but cool. However, I'm cool with the (rechargeable) battery box and I'd much rather have the added technology/mobility of the bluetooth & phone app/controller than have to plug run power cord to a wall outlet. Both have their pros and cons and depending on how often and how long you run the trains will be what suits anyone the best. I'm disappointed Lego hasn't given out a rechargeable battery box for the newest Powered-Up system though. Glad you're making progress on your hospital build with all those windows 👍

Does it actually come with those green lights? Or did you add a light kit or one of legos own kits
@TealBricksinParadisa2 жыл бұрын
The set comes with transparent light blue for the lights. But I used the transparent neon yellow pieces instead so that's what gives it that electric yellow/greenish glow. I'm not sure the if the set comes with the 88005 Lights that plug into the battery box, but I know the Lego designer designed the train so that lights could be plugged in very easily. I am using Lego's 88005 that I already purchased separately. On lego.com it is $10-USD

Lowered floor cars are a bad idea for car transport. They are meant for crane use only
