As a longtime bike mechanic. Never ever get your bike wet. Once water gets into the bearing’s, it stays there and does not come out. It turns the greasy into a slurry and just kills the bearings quickly.

My bike is stoke af accept the Shimano gears and brakes But the thing is the brake lever and the gears are in one so if you hit your bike the the brake brakes off you would have to change everything and they are very weak So I'm changing them out for a motorcycle disk brakes it has V brakes the thing will strop a storm now
