you can push it even further with core 2 quad q9650 and with usb 3.0 expansion card and win 11

Use this PC for windows XP gaming, not tried but i think you might be able to put a optiplex 755 motherboard in they seem to have the same ports and layout if it does fit then you might be able to goto a Q9650 as the 755 motherboard supports the higher bus speed, and the MB goes quite cheap on ebay.

Q965 chipset in optiplex 745 won't take 1333mhz FSB CPU, the best this can take is Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, 1066mhz FSB CPU does work though.

From Malaysia. Just bought a dell optiplex 745 from my local online store. My desktop is having restarting over and over again plus blue screen keeps on appearing after playing games or KZbin videos. Later I checked my internal hdd and ram becomes very hot. Is it normal. So do you think changing the psu could fix the problem ? Seriously the whole pc gets hot quite quickly.

Hi, i'm uptading a same Optiplex 745 actuallly i have a Pentium D, a 4 GB Ram, 70 Gb HDD and dont have a graphic video. The GTX 1050 TI es so expensive right no, any option for a graphics card?. Any sugestion to my upgrade?.

Try Pubg lite too, it would run way better than trying to run the full size version

I picked up the CPU for $15, and the RAM was $16. Both were buy it now on eBay. The SSD and 2.5" mounting kit was $75 on Amazon. All these prices include tax. So... $106. Not including the cost of the 210 card since I had that for a few years now.
