The tech did it right. When the customer service person says "new dish", they're referring to the lnb, or the eye of the dish. The reflector is the same (in your case).

Ya they most likely didn’t even repoint the dish. Maybe a bit to fine tune it. I like to work on satellites as a hobby and when I put a western arc 100.2 on my roof in august 2021, I was getting up in the 70’s and still 2 years later it’s not changed because I did a really solid job. I mention this because the newerLNB ‘s or eyes can be totally different like the older one I have because I’m runniNG A VIP 211 on it. I did the western arc install because the existing eastern arc 100.4 was being blocked by a growing tree that wasn’t there when the dish was installed so I turned it into a portable dish to make use of it.

@@nicholasmohr1619 we haven't used a 1000.4 dish in almost 10 years, dude. They're all 1000.2, and the ea only sees 61.5 and 72.

it’s because you only have two tvs you wouldn’t need the hopper 3 unless you have more then 3 tvs because the only real difference between the hopper 3 and the hopper with sling is the hopper 3 has 16 tuners and you don't need more then 3 tuners unless you have more then 3 tvs or want to record a ridiculous amount ​@@daronspicher

Got Dish for the first time ever on Saturday. 5 TVs hooked up to the same hopper and Joey system you have.

@@jeremymyers5503 wow that’s crazy having 5 TVs on dish. That used to not be possible with the older systems like what I have and what I’m familiar with. I still have a VIP 211 from around 2009 and a 100.2 western arc 110, 119, and 129 satellites.
