But...the wattage on the pump is double alot of people have heat issues using this and the sicce 1.0 including myself I downgraded to the sicce .5 and and super happy with it

So i have a fluval evo 13.5 with the stock nozzle assembly, can i just replace the nozzle for better flow or should i just order the whole assembly upgrade?

Hello. I got the same pump and tank but the pump produces too much noise. The water level in the filter drops 10cm below compared the level in the tank. Is this normal? The noise is louder than the stock one.

I bought the sicce 1.0 and it leaves my temp at 80. Does this filter heat up?

Are you sure its the pump? Not a faulty heater? I've never had any issues with it

Yes the Ehiem is noisy too. I know Sicce do a couple of pumps that will fit it. They are supposed to be great. I can't remember the model numbers but try searching online.

I just put the Vivosun 210 gph pump on my Fluval 13.5 and it gave me the boost I needed from 135 to 210 gph without adding a powerhead. It does not come with a filter so I will see how often I have to clean it to maintain the flow. Total cost was 12.99. It swaps out without any additional purchases. Just remove the hose from the valve and attach it to the valve that comes with the Vivosun which is different and does not have threads.

I would say maybe the motor pin/spindle isn't fitted correctly or maybe its vibrating against something?

I have increased the flow and have the RFG but I found the problem is the filter floss and my carbon in the first compartment gets clogged up. I have to remove the carbon and change the filter floss daily else it gets all clogged and flood because the pump is pushing more out than it can draw in. I might have to just run carbon and purigen with a hang on media reactor . Have you had any similar problem?

Have you watched my filter upgrade video? On something this small I would say change the floss weekly anyway. Get rid of the carbon unless your removing something? If you are removing something put it in the 3rd chamber. Filtration should go mechanical, biological then chemical. It also sound like you maybe packing it in too tight??

How would you compare the noise level between fluval stock pump vs ehiem? Is ehiem much quieter?

The ehiem it silent, I think the fluval as move chance of vibrating on things as its much bigger. We're as the ehiem is tiny and fits perfectly central in that chamber

Regarding green algae, i put a tuxedo urchin in my fluval evo 13.5 and he is trying his best. he certainly wont starve.

@@hannawood803 I went back to the original pump and it was so much better. After that I noticed more people complaining about the noise from the eheim. I now use the eheim for mixing saltwater, but it's tempermental... it didn't like when I tried dosing. I've heard slightly better things about the Sicce Silent pump but never tried it.

I still have this pump, it can vibrate if you don't push the suckers all the way down and its best to keep the hose angled away from the chamber and to the glass. Its been spot on for me.

The ehime compacton 1000 pump is terrrible. It will raddle after 1 month of use. Looks like there is no real fix other than adding some vaseline every month when the noise starts again.

The Fluval pump is only loud if its against the side or the suction cups are loose/not installed. Cheapest flow upgrade for the stock pump is just to remove the foam in the pump.

Hi, I've been thinking of removing the foam insert on the stock pump because it gets clogged up so quickly. Have you tried running it without, and is it okay to do so? I wonder if the impeller then gets clogged up quickly instead.
