One way that you might be able to get passed sound active issues and using the IP16 cover, is to sit it or mount it to a subwoofer. The vibrations from the sub might be able to get through.

I've been using these tube lights since they first came out. I first started using them with the remote only because that's very easy. I finally bit the bullet and learned how to program them into Soundswitch which now gives me wayyyy more control using my Control One. Anyway, good to see you back Barr.

Did you put them in 12 channel mode? The programming is endless. I simply have a few attributes and placed them into the autoloops. I think if you only use the remote, you don't get all the capabilities.

@@manidelgado Yes I use 12 channel mode because that's the mode that let's you use attribute cues.

When you say 4 hour gigs...is that just a 4 hour reception? Like they had the wedding somewhere else and then just show up at a banquet hall from like 6-10? Or does 4 hours include the ceremony or cocktail? Just curious about some of the differences in different areas of the Country. I'm in Ohio and my wedding on Saturday was 15 minutes from my house and door to door time for me was 12 hours. Prelude music started at 2:30, ceremony at 3, then cocktail until 4:30 when we did grand entrances, then a welcome speech, and then the blessing, dinner, toasts from EVERY member of the wedding party, cake cutting, first dance, parent dances it was 7:30-8:00 o'clock before we open the dance floor then go until 10:00.

I own these. Mounting the sound/IP caps is a pain. Mounting the feet or a base pole is a pain... I suspect the aluminum they used for these is way too soft, and the threads are constantly binding to each other. Its a problem for a lot of users in the forums that I've read. Also Both Tubes DO NOT work with Chauvet D-Fi.

I like those tube lights but the biggest problem is that it only lights up the DJ booth and nothing else. The party people are dancing in the dark. Rendering this setup as not practical. It shouts look at me, I’m your DJ. The idea of having lights is to create excitement and ambiance, but that’s my opinion. I prefer the gig bars for small venues and a truss for larger venues.

These lights are cool and all, but damn, every wedding DJ out there has these and battery powered up lights and a couple moving heads on totems. Its like the Wedding DJ starter kit, along with VDJ on a shitty HP laptop and a numark controller.... Getting really lame up in here. Where is the creativity and uniqueness?

I will never see the hype with these LED tubes…they have an extremely weak throw and imo they just look corny. I see them phasing out just like DJ facades. They are not even bright enough for me to even think about purchasing them. They light up like 10% of the room…weak shit not worth the money.
