As a graphic designer and an artist, i agree that those two things are VERY different! Even after 4 years of college specifically for graphic design, i still struggle with the fundamental concepts because i am more art minded than design minded.

I feel like the hardest part of owning a business where you are the maker is remembering that you don't need to make stuff only for other people. Often when we make things just to sell or just to appease others it falls flat. When we make for us, things that we enjoy and are passionate about, is when people perk up and pay attention. If they don't, they don't...but it's exhausting and soul-sucking to always be trying to stay with trends.

I don't think it was a lot of work for something so simple. As someone with a background design, I can say that logo design is something I have always struggled with. The end result may look simple but you want it to be simple and recognizable in the end. A lot of people (myself included) have a tendency to overcomplicate things. Also I love watching your videos. They're very inspiring. 💜

Love the new thank you cards and business card. I would like to suggest for your website to add a note section where customers can write a note before checking out. I seen many small businesses and etsy has this feature. I feel like this feature is useful because it allows the customer to write you a little note or ask for like a packaging video for their order etc.

I am a graphic designer looking to launch my Etsy this year for cutesy art and by far the most difficult thing as a creative is doing your own branding. It's easy to do it for other people but when it comes to your own it's so difficult. Massive love for your branding and the new art direction, I loved the old version but the new one is just gorgeous! Good luck!

Great video! Creating a business brand identity is SUPER hard - settling on a specific and unambigious direction is so challenging especially if you wanna do many things that aren't necessarily similar XD. But I gotta admit it's a good mental challenge and an exercise in focus (in a way lol)
