Ironwork with a carpenters eye.... trim, paint, electrical, finish...stone...mechanicals..... looks like Andrew picked the right guy. ( The keeper multi-talented pretty wife, while Dopey holds off the big guys)....priceless... !

Nice work Mr. Wheeler! Your craft with the steel is excellent. I used to say "I'm not a welder" until an Ironworker foreman got really angry at me and dragged me over to a column, gave me a hood and a stinger and made me try to weld a plate to the column. After having about five rods get stuck, I finally was able to keep the arc moving. I pushed my hood up and looked at him and he said in his super angry tone "you're a welder now aren't you?".

Just watched Andrews video, thanks for uploading. Don't sell yourself short, you are a craftsman, able to take on numerous tasks whether its carpentry, metalwork, construction and then compose a song at the end.

Andrew's family is very talented, and all professionals as well. Dan, once again you are showing your talent. some hyere, MIGHT not know that you and your son, Jesse, along with Andrew welded the steel roof on this castle 5 yrs ago. Like the idea of the steel mesh in the back of the stairs. a nice touch actually and a good safty feature. Great seeing Lucas helping out as well, another man in the family with many talents. Cute, Little Dopey telling Cody and Blue, that's my daddy!!

Nice job making the stairs safe!! I always worried the dogs falling If you didn't see the video of Andrew building these stairs, go watch it . He calculates all the angles, the vertical spacing etc., then he proceeds to build them from scratch.

Why are they having to build to code? Those stairs have been there for years, why do the gmen care about them now? And, now that we have seen the stairs backlit in blue. They definitely need to be backlit in blue!

My guess is he's closing everything in to be a occupied structure (heating, etc) and that it has to meet code for insurance or something.

Andrew is in the planning stages for a second & even better castle. My guess is that the original will become an ‘Inn’ of sorts…an Airbnb that will rent out. It’ll have to be brought up to code.
