Upgrading the DeLorean Tail Lights and Flashers to LED

Great tutorial! I've found myself under the dash many times, and it’s never fun. One thing I noticed, though... your battery/alternator light isn't coming on with the key. Could the bulb be out?

Most likely.. or intentionally disabled by the previous owner.. the door open light and buzzer doesn’t go off either (though I’m not upset about the buzzer)

@@AskDIYDad Definitely something to look into. The battery light activates the alternator field, so it needs to function for the alternator to charge properly.

@@bytes311 that's interesting.. I've put close to 2k miles on her in the last three months with no noticeable issues with battery or power levels, so I think, anecdotally at least, everything is operating properly. I will look into it though... probably just a bulb burnt out.

Does the Delorean's stainless steel body have rust issues like the Cyber truck does where you have to wipe away water drops immediately? I've never heard of the Delorean having rust issues, there must not be if they still look like new after gosh knows how many years. Does the Delorean have some kind of clear coat that the Cyber truck doesn't have, or did Elon use the cheapest, poorest quality stainless steel that he could get his weaselly little hands on? Pretty sure he's using garbage materials, minus the cost of the battery... I bet the Cyber Truck is $5000 (maybe less) worth of materials.

It’s the quality. The Cybertruck uses low quality stainless, the Delorean uses a much higher quality. My car is 43 years old and has 0 rust or corrosion on any of the stainless panels. I drive in the rain often.. and I only worry about water spots at car shows 🤣
