Can we all just celebrate how completely timeless Sarah’s style is? Wow!

One of the many things I admire about Sarah's work is how calm she is when things don't go according to plan and how quickly she can make decisions to adapt to a plan b. I appreciate that there is a balance between reasonable economy and getting it right, so as to be happy with the end result. It seems so obvious when she says it, but I never would have considered the need for such a white background due to the nature of the work. I would never have chosen the art, but it looks great. I want to work there too!

Shows how a thoughtful office for the comfort of the staff is worth it. ❤Considering the harsh cheap desk lineups in some offices, no wonder they are having trouble getting staff back to work. 😮

Looks lovely and comfy, could stay in the office the whole day and work till night if you have to. If you mix other colors in this office it will look cluttered.

She had another office downtown Toronto after that corner building. She featured the makeover on one of her series. I know it's been sold or was up for sale recently. I have pictures from the real estate listing. So this must be her new office.

Watching this again in June 2024. It was one of my favorites when first aired. At 5:08 Sarah says something about whether the discussion they were having was the end of Design Inc. Ouch! Then within a few years, the team did break up with Tommy, Natalie, and Kate leaving with accusations flying back and forth. They appeared to be a good team, but apparently, we viewers didn't know about any squabbles going on behind the scenes. Pity they couldn't work out their difference as they were a good team, bouncing ideas off each other. But now It appears Natalie and Kate have fallen off the radar and Tommy's career now doesn't appear to be as successful as it was when he was with Sarah. I wonder if Tommy, Natalie or Kate have any regrets.

How did they buy it without knowing about fire damage and abestos.? How did they not meassure for the desks?!
@PWingert19663 жыл бұрын
I suspect she knew about it and it's part of the faux drama of the show. She would have had it professionally inspected, evaluated, and planned that scene out.

Why not build an in-house warehouse for the furniture n that would be cost effective n convenient to save on trips and storage. The space is huge.

All the class and style of a decent hotel room. (That's not a compliment.). No real creativity but it's flawless and tasteful, avoiding anything with actual personality or character.

I can't believe a design group would not have planned everything down to the last detail. Moving day would never be a panic if they did. And they didn't do their due diligence in purchasing the building if they didn't know about the fire and the asbestos. I'm a commercial space planner; I design office space for a living, from construction documents through to furnishings. You don't make decisions as you go; there will be enough stumbles along the way that you have no control over to deal with. What you do have control over you plan and you control. This is such a fiasco. Maybe that holds viewers' attention better where real, thorough planning would be boring.

@@OpenSesame33 Maybe all they do is interior decorating, but even that requires some drawings, measuring and planning.

There is a lot of carefully staged faux drama. She's been playing the TV game long enough to know how to create false drama. I am sure the inspection was done, and an evaluation of the timbers was conducted by an engineer long before filming began. Same with the moving. she knows where she can get away with that, oh well just throw it together approach. I've seen it in several of her shows. It's just liked that sheik corner office she keeps alluding to hasn't been her place of business for at least a decade. It is located on the corner of Queen and Spadina on the second floor. She had another office in an industrial downtown near Shuter and Jarvis for a few years recently and she featured that on one of her series as a renovation. its recently been put up for sale, to buy this place so she can do another renovation show and finance the cottage series she just completed. I'm fairly certain I know where this new place is as well. She doesn't list her office address on her website either. You can play these kinds of games when your worth 20 million or so if you account for her real estate portfolio. Most of it is in Her husband's name so If she gets sued, she has no assets to claim but a majority of the assets are owned by the corporation. It's just like how high network individuals pay no taxes by not having income and taking loans against their stock portfolio. It's a game only the wealthy can play.

Did she really just flip through that artist's paintings right in front of him and say, "Nnnnnno" to one of them in the most snotty tone I've ever heard? When she could have just passed it by and kept her trap shut?So disrespectful.
