!!!!James!!! I think I got what happened! You should be getting 7,394 rent per day. You earned 29,576 total rent. Divide the total rent earned 29,576 by rent per day 7,394 and you get 4 days. You switched households on Saturday to de age and play the McGlorbins which glitched and reset your rent period over. So you got rent for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and paid on Thursday!

Charge typically lasts 2 days. Charges faster in full moon, Slower in new moon. Charge mat holds up to 7 items at a time. Hematite does *not* prevent death by old age.

If you put skill building objects in the apartments it raises rent, like the chess table and the mirror. Also with the crystal they can still die via the cow plant, so it is limited

Personally, I would like to see Laird find true love and settle down in a nice apartment or townhouse and start a family so the Bigwallets are set up for the next rags to riches lp. Then, while waiting for that to begin, some rotational play would be interesting. Like little “meanwhile” mini series for some of her relatives. Non-bigwallet wise there are always scenarios, exploring mods (similar to the dine out reloaded series), and of course gemology. And never forget Super Sim! There is so much to do!😊

It might help to complete the aspiration that gives you the handy trait (I think that's the right one). So you can instantly upgrade appliances. I fully upgraded all my apts and it increased my maintenance to either excellent or amazing.

Yes, I had a Sim's SO quit their job and join the science career. I don't do Any science work and just spend the whole day digging. 😂 When they come home, I give it all to my main sim, who is fresh and ready for a night of gem making. 😊

Some side quest ideas I suggest are just completing all the aspirations that came with For Rent and also the aspiration that came with the crystal stuff pack. Having children so you can have a reason to play with those marbles. Murdering someone with mold because why not. And maybe buy some baby sheep or baby goats, purely for selfish reasons because I miss Baaahtuu. I also think that having baby sheep bouncing around the apartment complex would be funny and add some nice chaos.

Helpful tip on crystals and jewelry, they maintain their charge in a Sim's inventory until worn or placed. If you create two of the same piece (or create 1 and have a Spellcaster Copypasto it, which also copies the charge) you can wear one, swap to the other when the first one is drained, and charge the drained one. Rinse and repeat. You'll have a continuous, unbroken effect active. (Side note: After traveling or logging in, the worn piece may say Drained even though it isn't, but if you remove and rewear it, it will revert to showing the correct remaining charge.) Also, you can wear by outfit. This includes work outfits. If you "wear on this outfit" while in your work attire, you'll put it on every time you go to work, and charge only drains while at work. This can be useful for work-exclusive effects like with Emerald and Simanite.

If James is looking for a brief "side venture," he might recall that during Growing Together (I think that's the LP), he once said he thought it might be fun to watch the films available via the Sims' television. He could do a sort of "Mystery Science 3000" with that for an episode or two while deciding on the next big project. Also, back when Laird was looking for love and James called it the Bachelorette, I thought it might be fun to go back and do a Bachelor-style mini-series to finally find Brody someone.

Making and selling jewelery using the new gem pack, rags to riches, maybe end up buying the emporium and turning it into a high end jewelry store, also, another side quest potential short series is taking some of Hazel's descendents and get them to buy the property that Hazel used to own, the three houses, that was my first letsplay I watched from you so it would be really cool to see that come back even if its just briefly.

Here's an idea for a future let's play, spin-off, side hustle, whatever lol. Using your own random pack generator, have it pick 3-4 packs (1 of each type) and find some way to incorporate each of them in. Since you relearned about the Celestial Crown, maybe this can be a way to try and either relearn or experience a part of TS4 that you haven't used much before, or forgotten about. Hope that makes sense! Maybe disable a lot of the newer packs so it's kind of, very different than what the past like, 3 generations of Bigwallets have been doing!

I LOVE to make jewelry with the moonstone crystal! Helps so much when I have a werewolf around. Last time one of my werewolves had a fully charged ring with the moonstone the fury drastically changed and I was hardly seeing them rage out. Crystal Creations is seriously an amazing stuff pack!

In my opinion, you should cheat back the money from fines because you did justly evict the tenants. This bug at least as an easy fix so it doesn’t negatively affect gameplay because doing the build mode stuff on the rooftop isn’t really a helpful solution. 😅

You can increase maintenance by cleaning sinks, toilets, hoovering floors etc, increases it quicker than inspecting the electric meter and water heater, also raising friendship with your tenants.

I would love to see an LP with the crystals properly. It's a super fun pack and the different buffs from the different crystals adds a lot of uniqueness. It could be a spin-off a bit like Jungle Adventure was during the Cats and Dogs LP. Maybe you could take Laird off to Selvadorada too since it's been a while, would be a call-back to Katrina Bigwallet and you can get different crystals there (and there's a gem that boosts your chance of getting better/rare items from doing the temples).

There is a crystal to make the chance of setting grill or oven on fire greatly reduced. Can’t recall which crystal it is but it stops the fire when cooking level is low. Those crystals are powerful!!

42:20 FYI, Little Ms Sam has an awesome mod to make the stereo turn off when people are out of range of it. It's something you "purchase" on each stereo, but I've found it's super helpful to stop the annoying music that's on all the time.
