Brilliant... I worked as an electrical maintenance engineer after my apprenticeship and did plenty on Allen Bradley PLC 2 & Telemecanique. A lot of the machines were big old transfer lines from the 60's and 70's and had huge cupboards with old relay control systems. When PLC 2 came along it was cutting edge stuff. Miss those days.

I'm an American electrical tech, but I deal with foreign manufacturers, such as Rolls-Royce and Siemens, documents a lot. Learning the addressing system from your first documents video was huge! I feel dumb for not figuring out that tbe decimal was for the column. 😅

Hey there, at 1:43 when you are describing the page showing the power connected to the PLC; it seems the PE,M, and L+ lines are connected backwards. It appears as though the PE line is connected to the L+ input of the PLC and the L+ line is connected to the PE input of the PLC. This appears to be an error in the drawing...Thoughts?

Hi, at 1:54 did you mark the 24 V, 0 V, and PE wires correctly? From the drawing it looks like they have the 24 V and PE swapped so that they are landed on the wrong spots of the CPU.

@@taurussilver3053 Those are the signs for the Shields of the analog signal cables. These Shields will be connected to the earth bar to prevent the signals become noisy and corrupted

Nice job! I never cared for the top - bottom orientation but I'm in the states so it's probably because I'm used to the left - right type. Great info. on the terminology used, that's also different than what you normally find here.

Hey! It is an MCCB (Molded Case Circuit Breaker) or a power circuit breaker which has a manual handle as well to open and close it. The contacts you see on right side of it, are for signaling and interlocking to PLC or other devices. The MCCBs are usually used for high capacity breaking requirements and have a more broad range of rated current in comparison with MCBs.

hello, in this drawing at 1:49 why is the 24V connected to the PE and the PE connected to the L+? your tags you edited on the video seem correct but the drawing itself is different.

Love your videos, however, can you check between 1 minute 50 seconds and 2 minutes to see if you have made a mistake when labelling the 24v, OV and earth cabling to the PLC. It's obviously minor but I would like to know for clarity. Thanks!

3:00 profibus cable is normally Violet color (could be black also, and other special variants), and the two wires in cable are red and green.
