Hey, can you tell us more about when you use your travel stroller vs full size stroller? Like, what situations do you find one vs the other more useful? How often do you use one vs the other? If you had to pick only one, how would you compensate for not having the other? Also, if you have you done much national or international travel, which would you take with you?

Important to note that the Minu is not suitable for Newborns right now as the car seat adapter release has been delayed. We purchased this stroller with the understanding that car seat adapters which would make the Minu compatible with the Uppababy Mesa car seat. When we purchased it we understood the adaptors would be available in mid June so we put in a pre order for them. Our baby is now coming early July and we were just informed that the release of the adaptors has been delayed until late July and maybe even August according to the customer service representative we spoke to. We are now left with a stroller that is useless to us until the adapters are released! The customer service agent solution was that we should borrow another stroller off someone in the meantime!!! If we wanted to borrow a stroller we would have no need to purchase the Minu in the first place!! There is no resolution to this from Uppababy at this points. One of the reasons we got Uppababy is because it’s an American company and we were told they had great customer service, it’s a shame that we haven’t had that experience with them. It is misleading and dishonest to customers to be selling the stroller as suitable for newborns if you don’t know when the accessories that enable that capability are going to be available. I do not recommend purchasing this product as a solution for newborns until the adapters are available.
@dadverb6 жыл бұрын
So sorry to hear about this but thanks for sharing. I'm trying to contact Uppa on your behalf. I'll let you know what I find out.
@dkamikaw2 жыл бұрын
I have to say that this comment is pretty unreasonable. You shouldn't bash a company for having slight delays with their new products. Delays like this are common amongst all types of companies. If the company finds an issue they can either let it slide and have a poor product out there or they can fix it and have a slight delay. I wonder what your solution to the problem would have been. I wouldn't be surprised if you expected them to ship you a new stroller in addition to the newborn adapters once they are available. There is little doubt that you are American but I am curious what part you are from. I am trying to build a mental map of which parts of our country are most entitled.

Thinking about getting BOTH strollers, Vista and Minu. Is that too much? Or is the Minu just enough and skip on Vista until baby #2 arrives?
@dadverb6 жыл бұрын
Mmm, great question. I think the Minu would be able to handle what you'd need for the first year BUT I'd still maybe go Vista for newborn. I'm not sure how often you shop or travel, but I think most would benefit from the added cargo space and larger bassinet to start, and then going Minu as the baby gets older. If you're traveling often or living in a big city like NYC and going up stairs a lot, I think Minu + Mesa would suit you better. Does that help? I know it's a tough call, but regardless, going with Uppa is a great choice. Also no pressure, but if you ending up buying, going through this link would help the channel a bunch. kit.com/dadverb/the-uppababy-kit

Totally understandable! We travel often, plus go to Disney often, so I was thinking both for that case alone. But I didn't want to go overboard for obvious reasons. I love the simplicity of the Minu. So glad you approved of it. Planning on 2 kids, so the Vista is great for growing a family IMO

I always love your reviews! MINU is on top of my list but I plan to use it as my main and probably only stroller since I don't think I will do a lot of outdoor activities. The only thing I'm a bit concerned is the suspension, I understand that Cruz has zero to minimal suspension and I think it is the same for MINU. Other strollers that I am considering are Babyzen (which has some suspension, light yet still sturdy), and Silver Cross Jet (Just released in June). I'm also interested in Silver Cross Avia which is slightly bigger and probably more sturdy than Jet, but it is not available in the US market. I would love to see your review on Silver Cross Jet.

We're looking into travel strollers too. What was your reason for picking the UPPAbaby MINU as opposed to the Babyzen Yoyo? We're debating between these too. TIA!
@dadverb6 жыл бұрын
Our main reason was because we're already in the Uppa ecosystem with the Mesa and Vista, and we wanted to stick with the same brand. Honestly though, they're both wonderful travel strollers and it's up to personal preference. For me, I like that the Minu has a one-step fold, whereas with the Yoyo, it's two steps with the handlebar fold and then the collapse trigger from under the seat. Either way, you'll be happy but we've loved our Minu and Uppa's customer service.

Is this stroller easy to tip if a diaper bag is attached and baby is out of the stroller
@dadverb6 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I have to say yes. That's not much of an issue for us since we don't hang our bag on the handles often, but if you do, it's easier to tip when the baby isn't seated. However, this is the case with most compacts we've tested.

Yes actually. Not just in the Minu, but any compact, even the Colugo. There are times where our kids lean forward like they're reaching for something and they pull the seat with them. They are strapped though and they wont fall out.

If your bag has stroller straps, you can. I'd just be weary of tip-overs when your child isn't in the seat. Since the stroller isn't front-heavy, the bag may tip it backwards unless your child is seated or if you have something in the basket as a counter-balance.

You know, I actually think you can pull it off as a daily. For newborns, you can get the Mesa adapters, and for toddlers, you can leave it as is. @@dadverb would you mind sharing which kind of plane was that?
@ghma48226 жыл бұрын
is it possible to have the seat in a flat position (for a sleeping baby)?
@dadverb6 жыл бұрын
It can go quite flat to accommodate sleep. It's not perfectly parallel to the ground like a bassinet would be, rather, it has just a slight incline to prop up your child. It's perfectly comfortable for sleep. In fact our 1-year old fell asleep in it last night while he was in full recline.
@ghma48226 жыл бұрын
Dad Verb what about the upright position? Is it comfortable? Or is it still reclined to the degree that the child will need support to watch around, like a cushion or something ?

Have you tried the Minu in the overhead on planes? Does it fit?
@dadverb5 жыл бұрын
Yes and yes. I fits perfectly in overheads.

Hi! I thought you’d do a review on the diono traverze, are you? Which do you think is better for travel, the minu or the traverze? I have a vista for everyday so really looking for something travel friendly. Love your videos!
@dadverb6 жыл бұрын
Hey there! The Traverze review is coming later this week. To sum it up though, I'd chose the Minu over Traverze.

Hi everyone, from the review I think MINU do not have the option for a bumper at or snack tray, is it correct? Our first baby is coming at this November, and I would like to know if bumper bar or snack tray is must from your experience? Thanks for your reply!
@dadverb6 жыл бұрын
The Minu doesn't have a bumper bar or snack tray. In my opinion, it's not something I needed. Since this is your first, are you interested in the Minu or going for something bigger?

I’m new to your channel and was wondering about your thoughts on Bugaboo strollers and if you’ve done any reviews on them? We love your videos and content is great!
@dadverb6 жыл бұрын
Bugaboo is easily one of my favorite brands to go with. I haven't review them yet, but I gush over the brand. They're a bit pricey, but I love the design aesthetic and quality. In particular, I'm in love with the Bugaboo Fox amzn.to/2K0e50j

Do you think the minu is better than the Babyzen yoyo?
@dadverb6 жыл бұрын
So hard to say because the Yoyo is such a legit option. But for my personal preference, the Minu edges the Yoyo by a thin margin.

Awesome video. Can you do an honest review of diono traverse as well as mima zigi? Thanks bunch!
@dadverb6 жыл бұрын
Traverze review is coming out next week. I'll be upfront and say that Diono and I will partner together in the future, but despite that I'd pick Minu over Diono Traverze. In my opinion, Uppa simply makes a better compact at this time.

Thanks for the honest reply. Much appreciated. How about Mima Zigi? Any chance you be reviewing that?

Like your videos a lot... Could you please do a full review of the Ergobaby stroller as well!

Yes! I'm trying so hard to get one because I love that stroller and I really want to review. I have nothing but great things to say about it.

Can you do nice, safe and affordable travel system strollers for newborn??
@dadverb6 жыл бұрын
I certainly plan on doing that. One of the most popular affordable options is the Chicco Keyfit 30 travel system and it certainly holds up. One that I really like from a value standpoint is Britax B-Agile + B-Safe 35 travel system. You can find that here: amzn.to/2JQGqSL I especially like the B-Safe Ultra with CoolFlow from Britax. Hope that helps a little.

Yes it can technically fit an overhead compartment but the measures are too big to be considered as one, if the air company get a bit zealous they'll just make you pay to store it.
@dadverb3 жыл бұрын
We've never had an issue traveling with it, but if that's the case, you could always just gate-check it for free.

PLEASE REVIEW THE PEG PEREGO DUETTE PIROET
@dadverb6 жыл бұрын
Hey there, been trying to connect with their marketing team to make the review but they've been tough. Promise I'm working on it though. In the meantime, I could just share some raw thoughts. When I first saw it in person, it felt longer than most doubles and the fold wasn't as compact as I'd like it to be. The steering seems like it could be difficult, but I'm open to giving it a shot. For doubles, I tend to lean toward City Mini Double for the value or the Bugaboo Donkey on higher end. I certainly would need to do a review and breakdown to garner better thoughts, but that's my initial sentiment.
@alondramaravilla13586 жыл бұрын
OMG Thank you so much. Im currently pregnant and have a very tall 1 year old she barely fits in any double strollers.. I'm not sure what to do..
@dadverb6 жыл бұрын
Which ones have you tried? I can try brainstorming for you. Do you have a budget in mind?
@alondramaravilla13586 жыл бұрын
Budget is not really a problem. I have tried the contours option elite, city select, contours curve, and Austlen. My husband and I are looking for more of an A line instead of side by side. we would just like to have enough room for both children to lay down if need be. Again THANK YOU SO MUCH
@dadverb6 жыл бұрын
Looping back with you here. Im surprised Austlen didn't work out. The Duette may actually meet your needs but I'm not 100% certain about the height of your daughter. My favorite for in-line doubles would be Uppa Vista with the lower adapters. Have you looked at that?
