I got to learn the best position(s) through trial and error...the biggest tip and most effective thing to do is to try by all means to keep your feet firmly glued to the wall,no rocking about, just firm and straight up,you'll feel this exercise hit every muscle and fibre in your body, allow a full upper body stretch out and you'll feel just how effective it is👍🏿👊🏿✌🏿
