I’ve got a little over 10k on mine and they’ve already seen death wobble multiple times over 60 mph and rammed snow banks, banged ditches. I’ll let you know if they are worth it.

@@IronRockOffRoad I’m doing it as we speak… I’m having a bear of a time pressing the sleeve in…I’m using basic hand tools…
@IronRockOffRoad4 ай бұрын
@LaunceBugbee It can be tricky getting it lined up and getting it started. You can put a little grease on the outside of the press-in sleeve to help. We only use hand tools when pressing in the sleeve. A good 1/2" ratchet gives decent leverage and control.

Do they make these for WJ ??
@IronRockOffRoad9 ай бұрын
@txknightrider82 We do! If you are using the original 10mm bolts for your upper control arms you just need to select the 10mm option on the website. www.ironrockoffroad.com/product/upper-control-arm-flex-joint-8-bolt-10mm-cartridge.html Some of our customers choose to drill out the mounting holes on their upper control arms to a bigger size and purchase the larger 12mm or 1/2" bolt size.

Oh, wow. Now that I've seen how beefy that installation tool is, the cost (and importance of having one) is to me. Makes sense now. Thank you for this tutorial, well done and well explained/presented.

What is the size of the Allen tool
@IronRockOffRoadАй бұрын
@raymondwinans978 The Allen wrench is an uncommon size, but it is included in each flex joint kit. The size is 3/32"

Great for off roading and rock crawling. Not sure if it’s good for highway as these will allow more death wobble to occur.
@IronRockOffRoad2 ай бұрын
@benjaminvolesky1653 I disagree. Many times, death wobble occurs when suspension and steering components are worn out and loose. The press-in flex joint is the opposite of that.
@raymondwinans978Ай бұрын
Death wobble is usually due to worn Track Bushing or movement. JLs are known to have the wrong size bolt and it eggs the hole . (Frame side ) . Ask me how I know 🤣🤣😕😕
@IronRockOffRoadАй бұрын
@@raymondwinans978 You're right.....among a myriad of different things, loose or worn track bars are certainly up there on the list of Death Wobble causes.
