#kachuralake | Skardu Pakistan Tour
Never seen before? Come, see the most beautiful lake of Skardu at height 8200 ft above sea level. I would mention this is most beautiful lake with particularly in autumn season and i recorded in the mid of autumn 2020.
We intended to visit upper kachura lake after taking some rest having photography at Shangrila resorts and lower kachura lake.
The way to #Upper_Kachura_Lake is really beautiful will tall straight eucalyptus trees at both sides of the road and high altitude mountains.
Upper Kachura is a village with small population and a few resorts for tourists. One room can be rented out for 4K rupees. It took 30 min to reach parking area of upper kachura lake and lake is at 10 min walk from parking. Walk through the forest of yellow trees in autumn and touch the chilled blue water of lake.
My drone cam drowned in the water of lake probably due to losing connection with remote device and this normally happens in Skardu. Don't know why, may be there are jammers installed at air port and the points where army is deputed. So avoid flying drone at height above 100 ft at both upper and lower kachura lakes. Anyways, we recovered our drone cam from 25 ft deep lake after tiring efforts of two hrs.

Unfortunately my hubby just came back very very sad, disgusted and disappointed. Our public has started destroying all these sites by throwing garbage everywhere, not picking up after themselves and not respecting Nature. Peaceful and gorgeous places like this, during Covid have become overcrowded and have been abused. These places should be marked as national reserves and should have an entry fee which should be used to protect and preserve. There should be fines for littering as well. Your video is amazing and what you showed is simply gorgeous Alhumdholillah. Hopefully our government will realize that they need to take steps to preserve our countries beauty, specially when they are promoting tourism so much. Would love to come back in a few years and hopefully see what you saw. inshaAllah

Same observations when I visited but let me tell you! other than tourists, the hotel owners also throw garbage and they have no disposal scheme. Local govt is lean towards keeping these areas clean. They just earn revenue and spend nothing to uplift the tourist spots. At many points, even I couldn't find waste bins.
