It's nice to see the lakes in such an improved condition from where they were in the 60s and 70s when I was growing up there. My mother was the chairman for the The Lewis Nine Springs E-Way project that set aside protected seven Mile of springs and drainages to protect the Yahara Mud lake from the run off that had reduced it to no more that what its name suggested. Nice to see that it is worked out well

Yes, it's really in good shape now. Fishing was excellent and want to go back again this year. Maybe check out the Yahara river also.
