This was great!! I was born in 1955 and grew up right in that area across from saindons market. Did you know that there was also an actual ski jump on top of the area were you said there was soap box derby? I'm talking probably in the 40' and 50's. It was great to see that area again as my siblings and I played down there too. That tared area was as wide as a road and we use to go sledding and tobogganing there too. Excellent video!

I lived at 312 Cartier for most of 2013; Transplant from Salem. The whole bottom floor is a 3 BR but the landlord and my roommate were a-holes with no interest in upkeep or clearing out years of crap from previous tenants. I think of it once in awhile but not too much.

My grandparents old tenant building is also in a sad state . This entire area for the most part used to be kept up 30+ years ago.

I used to live on the corner of Amory Street and Lafayette Rd. It was a brown house two story. I was born in Manchester, NH in 1963. I live in Florida now because my job transferred me from NH in 2015. Now I'm retired and I'm trying to find an apartment back in Manchester, NH. It's difficult because of covid 19.

I grew up on the west side of Manchester, NH in the 1970s. I miss that time. It used to be Fortin's Market and Uncle Bob's. Now it's Mexican stores.

I grew up on Bartlett street. Just down the street from where you are. The neighborhoods are not the same 😢

The Catholic Medical Center used to be called Hôpital Nôtre Dame, where I was brought into this world. Apparently, French cultural influence has waned over the decades. I guess it was inevitable.

Yes, it was much different 30+ years ago.

It's a beautiful piece of property and because of the Church at least a few city blocks around it are kept up . This entire area has changed quite a bit since 1985 , I remember Saindons Grocery also .

kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooSrcneqad2Eo9k I grew up on the west side , my parents built a house in 1985 in goffstown . I was 10 . The west side used to be a French Canadian community that was clean and kept up . The upper west side is still in ok shape but the lower side is now a turning into a ghetto.

Fix the roads and sidewalks and literally would make everything nice easily. But tbh Manch is like nothing to me I think it's decent
