Thanks for the tutorial it really helped me et the timing right on those chord changes. Could you do a tutorial of “up and alive” at gas street church worship as I’m finding that a bit tricky and it’s a great song I really want to play. Cheers

Hey bro! Awesome! Yeah those passing chords can get a little squirrely for sure!! Can you post the song and I'll take a listen :)

@@GarrettNoganAcoustic hi Garrett I tried to post that song but I couldn’t figure out how to do that. If u search for “up and alive Luke and Anna hellebronth” it’s on u tube. It would be awesome if you could do that it’s a really good majestic upbeat praise song. God bless bro. Mark

The strumming part is rocking back and forth on the D and G 8 times. The strumming pattern is 16th notes. So the accents (actual chords) are strummed on the 1 e and uh and the 4 e and uh which are 8 beats. So you need another 8 beats to fill out the measure. I don’t know if that’s to complicated for people watching this. But hopefully that helps. Also...I like the ones you’ve made chord charts for. It’s super helpful man. I appreciate you and your effort for the kingdom. 🙏🏼

Haha dude I appreciate this!! Thank you! You obviously know some music theory...you play??

Garrett Nogan I was a drummer all through school and played guitar a little. I have a football injury to my left hand that makes it hard to play intricate stuff on acoustic but I can get along pretty good with the G shapes. I run sound for my church as my main role. But I’ve filled in on drums a time or two and we do what’s called Saturday Circles after our Saturday night services where we play a song or two on Facebook live so I usually play for those.

That’s awesome bro! Where do you live and what’s the name of your church??
@jakeruiz74214 жыл бұрын
Garrett Nogan I’m just outside of Dayton, OH. My church is Medway Church in New Carlisle, OH. We’re starting back to church with limited seating this weekend! So hopefully we’ll have a Saturday Circle. We’ve seen so much growth in the 6 years my wife and I have been going. Covid kinda pulled the rug out from under us but it’s made us better in other areas that we had been neglecting before like live streaming. Where are you located and what’s the name of your church man?
@GarrettNoganAcoustic4 жыл бұрын
Awesome to hear man! I’m in Pittsburgh, PA so not super far from y’all. My church is North Way Christian Community. We have a bunch of campuses that I usually float around to and do worship at. I feel like while this covid thing has really taken the wind out of a lot of churches sails, people have become hungry to get back to the actual church and meeting together in person. I know I personally kind of took that for granted up until covid hit.

Amazing thank you so much! I am a total beginner and out of all the videos I've been through yours are the ones I can understand the best. I started with this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/f6Cne5l6aJ5oa8k from you and this one kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6jNp3yQaJKSrq8 and after I practiced it for a while I came to this song that was in the description and it finally feels easy and like I understand something! YAY! Thank you!
