@ParadiseYouth While there are many bands and styles of music that may not be "bad", very often those things do still hinder us from entering the holy place. There is something about pure intimate worship that brings us to a place no other kind of music can; and it has been Pastor Steve's experience (over 20 years) that once young people truly get a taste for the throne room worship of Heaven, they not only do not want to listen to Christian rock/rap, they come to dislike it entirely.

Christian rap and rock music has had a great impact on soo many young people's lives!! My friends and I are a great example. They actually are very wonderful tools of evangelism. Sure there's worship music that takes into that place with God, but is it the only kind you're going to listen to??? Are you just going to restrict yourself to that kind of music and miss out on the other positive messages that are being passed on through christian rap and rock??? I can say my life has been transformed.

@ParadiseYouth We are called to look NOTHING like this world. Romans 12:2, 1 John 2:15. Jesus also said if the world hated Him they would also hate us; if we are really taking on the image of Christ, then why is most of modern Christianity considered "acceptable" by our society? We try so hard to be accepted by the world under the guise of being "relevant" that we forget our true purpose. We are strangers and foreigners in this world, so why are we trying to look like we belong?

Paul and Silas used no music, just praying and singing, but the power of God fell and shook the prison [Acts 16:25,26]. Today we use all kinds of music but no power. Just plain entertainment!!

Please, Define... There is no one universal definition on Music... In a broadest term, Music can be define as sound, any sound from anything...

@ParadiseYouth Also, to be honest, and I don't mean to be disrespectful, but you really do not know the impact Steve Foss has had in the nations of the world, SPECIFICALLY to young people. He has gone into the hardest meetings full of inner city kids and EVERY TIME sees the alters flooded with these "hard" kids getting right with God. He has NEVER used a rock/rap concert or song. It is the ANOINTING that relates, not a worldly genre of music. Jesus didn't relate, he confronted.

So the real problem is the Musician not the Music. Music is the the product of the Person. I don't think he means to judge. The Bible teaches us to partake in the things that edify our Spiritual Growth in God. Its just a matter of the condition of your heart.

Wow "Satan's body was made up of musical instruments "= total UNBIBLICAL = FALSE TEACHING DOCTRINE.... but I do agree that NO MUSIC IS NEUTRAL. ..either Holy or Unholy. ." Choose this day whom you shall serve"... The Holy spirit will convict you if what you listen to is evil... That's His Job to Lead of to Christ Jesus problem is "The church" has become worldly, unrepentant, wishy washy, anything goes... If you are TRULY BRON AGAIN God Spirit will convict you and teach the real meaning of RIGHT FROM WRONG ... all you have to do is Ask in Jesus name... As soon as your Born Again God starts right away pruning you and showing you, leading you unto Holiness. .if that's not happening and old thing don't start passing away then you better check you SALVATION. ..Salvation is a free gift that once your are you always will be.. but GOD COMMANDS HOLINESS. .or you'll live a life of complete deception and misery
