While this is cool, it's not 1995 and you aren't losing 20% through the drivetrain. More like 10-12 on average, so not 400hp, but still not bad at all.

Jk4 Fam absolutely! We’ve done it plenty of times on Z’s. You really just need test pipes, a 3” exhaust and an uprev tune.

what's your thoughts on the ported manifold and headers? how much power did you friend get from those mods??

Off the ported manifolds alone, it was about 8whp gained on average. From the dc shorty headers, there wasnt a change in power really, but there was more torque down low. We recently changed the setup to ISR longtubes, which improved hp up top (gain of 10+whp after 5k rpm) but we lost a bit in the low range (under 4k rpm). Since this car is mainly meant for drag racing, it makes sense for us to run parts that give us power in the top end.

It's hard to squeeze power out of an N/A motor. This car probably has about $2400 to $3000 in parts, depending on the brand. And that's with out paying for a tune. Results after a tune , 40 to 50whp.
