Very helpful! Just starting to play the Upright at school. I'd love if you would make more videos regarding things you've learned or tips you have. Actually any video about the upright bass. I really like your style of playing and would love for more content!

I hear you! sometimes you just gotta take your brain out. I used to tour with a blues man who would say: "if your thinking, you're stinking"

The king of the drag triplet has to be Willie Dixon, who was the backbone of chuck berry's early more rockabilly sounding hits like "you can't catch me".to hear a healthy solo where he does the most ridiculous drag triplets, check out on youtube for a tune called "we're gonna rock", featuring Willie Dixon on bass, Memphis Slim on piano, and a very young Chuck Berry on guitar. Otherwise just search for any live Willie Dixon soloing.

Hey Heath, nice lessons. I would like to know something more about your setup, it looks so easy when you slap that bass. I started playing double bass in 2014 and I still have a problem with my G string. Sometimes, when I try to slap that string, it doesn´t work. I lowered the space of the string, but now I have problems to get my fingers under it ;-) Greetings from Germany

I got a very good price on mine. I was just in the right place at the right time. A decent upright is gonna cost at least $1200 or more.
