Yes, please do some more videos on minimalist sandals and footwear. I have wide Fred Flintstone feet and neuropathy and wear sandals 99% of the time, my walking shoes are 4 years old and still look brand new. Thanks for all of your great videos, keep up the good work.

Bro I feel you more than you know on the tan line thing. 😂 That’s my number one criteria when looking for sandals.

I have the z-trails and I love them! The only time I had an issue with them was when I did some serious hiking around waterfalls. The ground was muddy and slippery and as the bottom of my feet got muddy, they slid around in the sandals no matter how tight I made the straps. The footbed is very smooth. I was trying to get up some very steep muddy trails and I was slipping around in my shoes and couldn’t climb up without help. They do absolutely fine in water, it was just the mud in the steep slopes. On dry terrain (dusty or rocky) I was a mountain goat, it was great. Any experience with Bedrock or Luna sandals? Would love to see reviews of those. I just got a pair of Bedrock’s but haven’t had any steep muddy climbs to test them on yet, lol.

@@iloveapplejack I suspect the noboso version would not have that problem.

I have a pair of Z trail and recently bought a pair of Z trek and a pair of DIY sandals from Xero. I can easily slip my Z trails on without undoing the Velcro strap and same with the Z trek therefore no wear on Velcro and easy to slip on and off. I don’t have them extremely tight as I prefer more comfort and I have wide feet so don’t want my little toe squashed up in any way. All three pairs seem good the DIY look cool and having made part of them that also feels good. Just not easy to get totally comfortable yet and took about 25 attempts to get laces in the right configuration. So am considering getting a pair of genesis as custom made with elastic but 5.5 mm and my DIY S are 6mm I wanted more protection for hard ground. Lockdown has given me plenty of time to get into barefoot sandals and feel I am becoming a bit of an expert. The DIY are not as easy to put together as the videos seem to say. I felt if I got another pair I would be able to cut them out better I used a Stanley knife easier than scissors for 6mm of strong rubber. Enjoy the adventure of buying and wearing.

Do you like the z-treks or z-trails better?
@cliveburks Жыл бұрын
@@danielq4411 the Ztrails have thicker sole so less barefoot but more protection. I like them both I wear my DIY sandals quite a bit as they have good barefoot feel. I bought toeposts from Redbrain? in US and back fasteners from Xero didn't work for me without these.

@Upright Health. Can you confirm if the Z Trek's sole can handle rockier terrains during hikes than the Genesis even though they have the same 5.5mm thickness? Thanks

I'm very much enjoying your reviews on Minimalist Shoes. Any thoughts on doing any of xero's winter boots? I'm trying to decide on a pair that would be good for City use and some mild hiking.

Hello man, thank you so much for your review. Could you please tell me how wide this sandals are? The width is not listed anywhere, and I am not sure about getting the men or women version. My feet are not wide nor narrow, so I would like to know how wide are this sandals on the heel area and on the front side. I hope you can help me
@hespergarden34975 жыл бұрын
If you look at the size guide of their website, you can print an outline of the sandal to check if they are the corect lenght and wide enough or too wide)
@carlosrolandofernandezpuli12385 жыл бұрын
@@hespergarden3497 thanks for your reply. I did, but the width is not accurate in the template since it goes from edge to edge and it doesn't show the strap ancors or the heel box considering the width of the material. I called Xero shoes and they did not have a sandal close to them to measure the width and tell me what it was. I guess that it is not possible to know the real measurement from a sandal. So sad

Carlos Rolando Fernandez Pulido here are some pics of my Z-Trails, not sure if this is helpful. Mine are a women’s size 10. I will say that with the adjustable straps, and the little flap below your pinky toe (where the strap attaches) is very flexible and can bend out for a larger foot or bend in if you need to tighten the straps a lot. They are very comfortable and very lightweight. It’s like being barefoot but not getting the bottoms of your feet cut or burned. ...well...I can’t figure out how to attach a pic- the widest part of footbed (interior) is 4” on mine and the interior of the heel footbed is 3”.

The Z treck , rubber part holding the strap by the ankle broke. Had them for several months, got some good walks out of them. I will not buy them again. Stick with the shoes.

Hey! just wondering, have you experienced any other problems with them? I’ve noticed that my feet get very irritated and even injured from these sandals, wether it’s the sole or I don’t even know…

Haha! If you worry about your foot tan lines just wait until you start losing your hair.
