Honestly, such an incredibly concise and clear explanation for this game. You are very talented as both a writer and a creative. It's also really impressive to see your transformation over time and the immense amount or work you put into production alone. Additionally, the originality in your videos should be something you feel very proud of! Thanks for inspiring the real small channels!

Loved the review, thank you so much for taking the time. Be assured - it is indeed somewhere in there. And if not... well... we'll send the 4th death star over with the next expansion I guess.

I genuinely look forward to finding it! And, for Death Star 4: consider putting a little door over the hole that destroys the whole thing in one shot

Phenomenal edit and good review. I haven't played this game enough but it's firmly in my top 10 for now

Woah not sure how I’ve missed your channel, but you have a new subscriber! I backed this game and have been too intimidated to bust it out and learn.

We've had so many games that came down to the last die roll it's crazy. But yeah, if you don't do the right difficulty you might find yourself in exactly what you describe! Luckily, you can tune up or down basically anything to your liking. Fewer starting resources, action points etc? Sure. More starting enemiess? Sure! Have bigger enemy decks so you don't run out? Why not! The system is very robust, so do whatever you want with it!

Yes! I love the note in (if I remember correctly) the Titans expansion that the game is as customizable as you want it to be, and that Uprising “can take it.” The only thing I’ve actually removed from the game is the legion who permanently takes away an action point (the Courtesan, maybe?). I *love* the Legion who takes away an action point until you’ve killed them, but the former popping up early has just been too devastating for me. Thank you for reaching out!!

This is a great review. I feel like you covered the games features really well. I love this game and have played it quite a bit. The sweet spot/difficulty slider I have found is that the 2 chapter game is very hard and pretty short, the 3 chapter game is a good difficulty and nice length, and the 4 chapter game is pretty easy and fairly long. I feel like you really get to ramp up during the first 2 chapters and in the 3 chapter game you get to use that power to turn the game in your favor, but if you play the 4th chapter it is more often juat an opportunity to flex on your adversaries. Others might disagree with that, but that has been my experience.

That’s really interesting to hear! I’ve only played one 3 chapter game, so I’ll have to give that another go and see how it feels. Thank you for your comment!

Generally I just get the Kroger cubed ham, but this past week, there was Smithfield ham steaks on sale, and being the cheapo that I am, I just bought one of those and sliced it to cubes myself. Then used on some homemade pizzas. They were pretty good. The crust wasn't great, I got this 25 pound bag of pizza crust mix some time ago and I think it is going stale. I think that was the issue with the crust. Honestly, back on topic, sometimes when I make homemade pizza (or french bread pizza) I just get the sliced deli ham and use it as the topping. That works ok. But I have also started making omelets for breakfast lately, and the cubed ham works pretty good in those, so I will probably continue to get cubed ham or ham steaks for our homemade pizza, then I can add any leftover ham to the omelet. When I was in Uganda, actually, the street vendors would sell these omelets made with shredded cabbage and peppers and onions, then the cooked up and served on a chapati (kind of like a thick tortilla) and rolled up and sometimes they would slice some fresh tomatoes on them as well and they were so good, so that is usually what my omelet turns into. Put some cheese on a tortilla and warm it up on the griddle while the omelet cooks, then put the omelet on it and slice some fresh tomatoes on and roll it up. Oh also, nice video.

If I could send it on KZbin, you’d be seeing the clapping Shia LeBeouf gif. A masterful comment. A fine move.

This might be a longer one so please bear with me. Let me start by saying that I really love your style of videos. I just recently discovered your channel but I could not stop watching your videos since then. I love your humour and the ongoing story arc. I think your reviews are helpful and informative and your lists and stuff are much fun. Now... I think I should introduce myself. I'm Alex, 35 years old and I'm a game designer from a small town in Germany called Geilenkirchen. I haven't been in the hobby for long but I try to learn as much as I can about different games and mechanisms to improve my own designs - and because I love playing board games of course. I also dabble in writing and love movies - especially from the 80s. The game that brought me into the hobby was Everdell and it is still one of my favorites - maybe nostalgia plays a role here but I can't not like it. The game that is on top of my wishlist is - for the moment - Life in the Amazonia. I'm kind of a "come for the theme and/or artwork and stay for the gameplay" person. This video gave me another game for my wishlist. Curse of the Last Emperor looks really interesting. I won't go out of my way to get it but I really want to play it now and see if it really is for me. Thanks for introducing me to this game. I think you'll see me around more often from now on. Can't wait for new videos - until then I'll watch every single one of your previous ones. P.S. I like your new look. I was so confused at first because I noticed something was different but I could not figure out what it was. Even though it is quite obvious if I look at your thumbnails now 😂

Wow-thank you so much for your comment… I’m really glad to hear you’ve been liking my stuff, and I think I can speak for all board gamers when I say we’re thrilled to have you in the hobby! Everdell is one of the biggies that I haven’t played, but it’s definitely on the list! Welcome aboard-I’m happy to hear there’s at least one person aware of the whole storyline!

Just discovered this channel and really enjoy it! Have you played Aeons End? That is the game that replaced Spirit Island as my top co-op game. Easier to explain, more transformative from game to game, and the expansions are multiplicative rather than additive.

I grabbed Aeon’s End Legacy from Half Price Books and I haven’t played it yet, but I’m looking forward to it! Have you played the Legacy version?
@rubesqubes19974 ай бұрын
@@boardandsaviorgames I played Legacy of Gravehold (the 2nd one) and had an amazing time with it. Lots of unique fights and cards. I hear the original is best for beginners because it introduced the mechanics one at a time.

I gotta know... have you ever accidentally painted Little Ben while working on your other minis? (He'd probably have to be sleeping very soundly for this hilarious scenario to work.)

Not *that* Tiny Ben, but we did, unfortunately; lose one around awards season. On the bright side, I have an Oscar!
