@maximusprime34592 жыл бұрын
I remember that. It was a instant classic. MTV played that over and over that weekend in case people missed it.
@Puschit12 жыл бұрын
You mean back then when MTV was rad and played music videos most of the day? Hell yeah. Ray Cokes, Wayne's World, Beavis & Butthead making fun of the very videos MTV was playing and of it's own audience. Early 90s was the best decade to be in your teens. We got Kurt Cobain and witnessed him blowing his head off. We saw the first use of true CGI in Terminator 2 which to this day is one of the best movies ever made with arguably the best villain ever. We (at least here in europe and me in germany) had raves including but not limited to the Love Parade. It was the best decade to mix styles and genres which brought us rapmetal, culminating in the best soundtrack ever (to a very forgetable movie): Judgment Night! Sub- and youth cultures were vibrant, creative and influential, from hiphop still being alive including breakdancing and grafitti to grunge, aforementioned ravers, cybergothics and whatnot. Products and technologies advanced fast but could be viable at the same time - I remember having and using music on MC, Vinyl, CD, MD and as MP3s within the same decade. Nerd culture was rising, I had RPGs, Magic: The Gathering, Tabletops and so on and got people to play everywhere. Yet we could have camp fires at the local pond blasting Cypress Hill, Rage against the Machine and The Prodigy, drinking and smoking despite being underage and nobody batted an eye. Being born in 1975 I consider myself lucky because it meant being a kid in the 80s and a teen/young adult in the 90s. That's about the best match each. Maayyybe being a teen in the 70 could beat that but chances are you'd be too broke to fully enjoy it.

I remember when I heard this for the first time. It’s still one of my favourite songs. Odb really had his own style and sound.

I remember this from my college days. The video was hilarious because it was deliberately made to be horrible and it was actually a shout out to the blaxploitation movies. The song made the video great!

There will never b another ODB, he was so hood and about his money the man actually went and got food stamps after selling millions of records. Nothing but respect like the man said, why wouldn't you get them that's free money right there, now that's 💯

This song just reminds me of how original hiphop used to be. Everyone had their own unique style. If you hear a song on the radio, you would know exactly who the artist is before its announce. Nowadays everyone sound the same. No one is unique. Cant tell anyone apart except a few, kendrick, J. Cole, Drake. 🤷🏿♂️
