I really enjoyed Backlash. I have a newfound respect for Bad Bunny. That man wrestled his heart out. Props to Damian Priest for his part as well, and I am so excited to see Carlito possibly fully return. Iyo deserves a huge push, honestly overall a massive event, and a huge new beginning for WWE. I liked the fact that Brock really sold for Cody. The roll up meant that it’s not going to be a one and done. The Brock and Cody finish actually shocked me cause I was so involved I didn't notice Brock was being pinned and before I knew it the match had finished and I legit in a moment of actual surprise said "What!?" I have no idea who else was surprised by that but good god not only did I eat my words "I don't care who wins between Bianca Belair & Iyo Sky" but the crowd itself pulled me in and made me care, I loved this whole show and would even say it was better than WM39 as a whole.

Overall this was easily one of the best PPVs of the years, even if the card was semi-predictable. One of my only complaints was it's clear the fans were 100% behind IYO. WWE should have pulled the trigger on IYO winning the title. Yes, they want Bainca to break the record for the longest-reigning woman of the modern era. But much like with Asuka, this was the wrong choice. "Super" Bianca is not as over or well-received as WWE thinks. They very much had a Hogan/Rock moment and should have pulled the trigger. The match was fantastic one of IYOs best matches but again wrong choice. Priest/Bad Bunny was the match of the night and should have closed the show. This was utter insanity and an amazing show. Carlito looks amazing, please give him a new push. The pops for everyone in the entire show were insane. Savio Vega looked great. Best of all Bad Bunny proved he can go and respect the business. Even in defeat, Priest was great and I know he was proud to be involved. Rhea and Zelina was a great match as well, I'm glad it wasn't a squash and Zelina got time to shine and her moment with the crowd with that standing ovation at the end. Rhea looked strong and needed to. Another great match. Really every match on the card was great. Cody got the win he needed and did something we've rarely seen, the Beast bleed.

My Thoughts: 1, Bad Bunny is by far the BEST celebrity they have had. Perfect combination of Bunny/Priest. So happy you gave an up to the crowd. I also noticed immediately how juiced the crowd was and bought into the energy immediately. The crowd was under 20K but sounded like a Wrestlemania event level crowd. I too loved everything about this show. Bianca and Iyo was an excellent kickoff and maybe a MOTY nominee. I think Seth and Omos both got more over and added to their characters with their match. Bad Bunny and Priest was classic. And it must be said that you Simon should also get an up because your presentation in this vid was also spot on. All the jokes made me laugh. Everything about Backlash gets a golden up imo!
