Ben... I live in Idaho USA.... cool vlog of your journey through America. Thanks for sharing your travels with us. Hope you found most Americans to be friendly & respectful. Enjoy a cold brew for me. 😁

You are correct, USA has a truly unique and diverse range of scenic landscapes and interesting range of critters, except for that bear, yikes. All of your walks have been worthy of laying down on canvas. Thanks for the video.

Most Americans I know don’t drink anything but micro brew. Mostly IPA’s I don’t know anyone that drinks Bud, Coors or any of the other crap.

Great scenery, wildlife, and... a bush bash! I was waiting to hear that again. I'm really enjoying your CDT tour of my home state. I need to go back and check out your NM videos, then catch up again in WY.

I'll try and add some more ' Strayan ' language going forward.... Things like Arvo, servo, etc...

... And so began a strange shift in the vernacular along the US Continental Divide. What fun, thanks! Think I'll need a dictionary though.

Thanks for correcting misconceptions of the US! Chiropractor or a masseuse are great for that type of neck discomfort.

Nearly there, I couldn't have done it any slower with as many alternates as possible. Think I've had 12 town night stays haha. Time to get moving from tomorrow, I mean it this time...maybe

Wow, that was a beauty of a stage, unbelievable scenery. The CDT is now elevated on my trail list, just need the iron ore price to tank and the WA government to offer a generous redundancy package and I’ll be there. I feel for you with that neck problem, I drove reaches and conventional forklifts for years. Btw, how you are you managing your food and bears? I’m assuming your using a hang system.
@anothertravelflog Жыл бұрын
Yep forklift neck for life, my golf career is over... Funny a week ago I was thinking all my work aches and pains are gone, next minute... Better now, would of sworn I torn a muscle . Food, no management ATM, just buring it in my backpack in the tent. When I get into grizzly country I'll get an Ursack and put it a few hundred metres away. I haven't seen anyone on trail hanging food at this point

Thanks mate, that’s another of my misconceptions of hiking in the US cleared up. I thought you would have already been hanging below the tree line since you entered Colorado. The flip floppers are giving you good intel enabling you to hang up the ice axe and spikes.
@anothertravelflog Жыл бұрын
People only seem to worry about it in Grizzly country. Though a black bear killed someone a few weeks ago in Arizona, which is rare
