Glad to hear you're giving NXT ups and downs another shot. Hopefully enough people will watch it to make it worth continuing. I'll definitely be watching. Also, just a minor note, MJF will become the longest AEW world champion regardless of whether he retains at Full Gear, as Full Gear is 43 days away and he's only 26 days behind the longest reign by Kenny Omega. In fact, MJF will become the longest combined reign as well, beating Jon Moxley's combined 347 days across 3 reigns.

It's amazing that AEW does as well as it does. It seems like Discovery Warner is doing its best to tank the promotion with an awful schedule for both Rampage and Collision, constantly changing show dates/times, or technical issues....

Eh ... scheduling conflicts happen. There is not much you can do about that. Yes its a pain but I highly doubt they are trying to tank the promotion when it has so much money wrapped up in the product (reports are over $200 million per year). They just pay more for baseball, so baseball gets the right of way, so to speak.. Also, I think you would find that one of the reasons AEW and Time-Warner have such a good working relationship is Tony Kahn's willingness to work with the company when these situations do pop up. Now @afp445 may have a point about the edginess, but even that is not completely on Time-Warner. I am sure the FCC has knocked on their doors about some of it.

One of my favorite parts of Toni Storm's character is the wrestling gear. She's wearing old school boots and the rest is a play on old school trunks. No flash. Just plain black and looking like the same type of gear that you see in old black and white footage of matches from the 40's.

Adam Copeland will be a better signing for AEW than CM Punk in the long term. Adam has a history of working well with others and building people up, not tearing then down.

There's a movie from 1950 called Sunset Boulevard and Storm's character is taken almost directly from there. Gloria Swanson is an aging silent film star who still thinks she's famous, and the ending is super famous and pretty clearly where Storm got her inspiration from.

My only issue with the end of the Jericho/Omega match was why didn't Adam Copeland come down after he mentioned hating Don early in the show...I like how they explained no other Elite members were there but they couldn't explain why Copeland didn't come down. I think they should've left Copeland's comment about Don out of the first segment if they weren't going to have him come down to help.

One thing I have to say: I don't like what AEW is doing with Kip Sabian. They did that whole bit with him being underrated and in the crowd when he wasn't wrestling, then when he finally comes back, they just KEEP jobbing him out. What was the point of trying to sell him as being better than his booking, only to keep booking him badly? There're plenty of local talents he can squash at least to give him some momentum leading into a real feud, and a good feud will do him a world of good, assuming they don't make him lose THAT too.

I thought Wardlow would be a good choice for the Hobbs thing since you know Hobbs did yoink the TNT title from Wardlow and then Wardlow was gone for a while. Miro or Wardlow would work here as long as we have big meaty men slapping man meat. I also didn't notice the makeup on Skye but the idea of her and Julia as a tag team? That would be crazy.
