I remember growing up the elimination chamber was like a “last resort” for people to go to wrestle mania and there was feuds and rivalries going into it. Now it just feels like a filler episode on the way to wrestlemania

of course he will be over. Nostalgia is over as f*ck. But it's too late for him to put some one over, he needs to have a legit good match to put someone over as a part timer. So yeah guys that are stars lose credibility because they lose to part timers who had the time to become superstars. But people say who cares it's pro wrestling, and then we get pro wrestling with no freaking credibility and people who are ashamed to say they watch pro wrestling (funny thing is WWE has pro wrestlers but they use them as puppets which is absurd, Daniel Bryan had creative freedom on that short match and yeah match of the night easily). Who can't see that point are not pro wrestling fans, they will watch anything that is a bit different ant a bit entertaining on tv, pro wrestling can be entertaining as f*ck, and is always entertaining af only because it is all about working the crowd, making real emotion, not about money. But kids shows are money, and money gives power, and power change people to worse more times than not. That is what we got, Nostalgia of the good old days (even not that good 2001-2006, but amazing compared to what we had from year 2007-2020) being milked for a kids show about a pro wrestling tv show that doesn't even try to give us at least medium baked product in storytelling. I see NJPW i see pro wrestling matches with amazing in ring storytelling, i watch AEW i see good to amazing matches with good to amazing storytelling, i used to watch WWE product and i was used to see awful to mediocre and very rarely amazing by accident matches and same with storytelling. So why people still watch that sh*t? Because some got proven wrong when they followed TNA (who was as bad as WWE if not even worse, imagine the getting the power) , some still watch because guys they loved are there (RoH stars, Attitude Era stars, Nostalgia Acts, even belts are the same tho not prestige at all). We are stubborn as people, and that is what keeps f*cking us in the a*s all the time, some people get rich of us for that, some rich people get to ruin things we love for that (like WWF bought all the damn stars and killed the territories, then they got competition and we had attitude era, then they bought their competition and their true business men colors showed yet again). Y2J still gets huge pops, reinvents himself all the time, can deliver amazing matches and promos to this day. I think if we compare the undertaker as different character that stands out, we can say it's a great character. But if we compare him to Y2J, guy that done it all in his life and still has plenty of momentum left. I think it's fair to say that he is currently the GOAT. The first part of my comment basically stands as it's own comment , sorry for that buddy

Ryback said that he couldn't even talk to WWE about Goldberg, because they hated him that much. That just proves how much they don't give a sh*t. Product is for kids that bring them money, pro wrestling is not theirs but they surely have monopoly on the big stars that can draw in the indie scene (which just shows who is the actual talent, and they get offers so big they can't freaking refuse and if they don't refuse they always seem sad for some reason, like they actually sold out. Which is fair, we don't need to critique them for accepting that size paychecks, but we can be angry at WWE for using pro wrestling culture as business) Imagine the whole culture getting milked. Africans got sold as slaves to the world, it was the only way countries could have grown at that time, but we don't say it's business about slavery. It was but it's not a good thing, so how come we can forgive WWE for killing pro wrestling culture (btw they can't kill it even if they want to. Think about it John Cena was always there to be a star and kill any upcoming star from becoming another superstar as Hogan, only because Vince didn't want the guy who becomes a superstar to get the leverage). Perfect example is Brock Lesnar, he can draw, but he uses his star power as leverage. Good thing Brock never cared about pro wrestling culture, Bryan loves pro wrestling culture but he is too naive to think that he can revive it in WWE... Sad world we live in, but that doesn't mean we can't fight back for things we care about. I know i am preaching here, which is the thing people really hate. But damn how can we all be that damn blind about this business,when what we love is pro wrestling and this business mentality makes them being lazy ok for some reason. Bash them, who cares if we are told as trolls or toxic "fans''. People who say that are bought, media was/is/will be bought so think for your selves. This is our culture , pro wrestling is something that keeps us busy from depression at these god damn internet ruined times

The biggest down for me was the women's match. It felt like 3 separate matches: Triple Threat - which was actually good! Ruby took a good beating, she is crazy tough, but all three looked strong. Jobber Match - Shayna made Liv look awful. I don't like Liv, but they could have made her not look so bad. 1v1 - this was pretty good. Then you had about 8 minutes of nothing in the match, which sucked because nothing was happening! Just shouting! What they needed was Shayna 5th. Let the first 4 look good, give them all some spots etc. Let Ruby get an elimination because she just returned, then have Shayna come out and they all get eliminated, then wait 1 minute maximum for Asuka...

This is absolute nonsense; the women's elimination chamber match was one of the best elimination chamber matches of all-time. Brutality, tension and putting the right person over hard af. Whoever whines or cries about the wait for the last two pods is beyond help. (Prolly mostly the kind of waste of space who cry boredom the instant something doesn't happen for like 15 seconds) It was completely fine. Baszler is an absolute diamond and they can't put her or the Undisputed Era over enough if they tried.

My biggest problem with the womens elimination chamber match: All that time of Shayna just walking around alone killed the momentum. Hell I was even hoping that they were doing a spot where Shayna got tired of waiting for Asuka and just kicked in the front pane of her pod and just dominated. Exec. producer in WWE here. To answer your question Simon, matches in the kick-off show are absolutely needed. Apart from setting up the pace for the rest of the show, Vince believes we need a strong start. We put together the worst matches we can think of, so the old man can feel better when he comes into the show to change our plans. Sometimes he doesn't show up, and the horrible ideas get through somehow.

The main event was frustrating- not because of the result, but because of all the little problems. 1) let all the Riot Squadders start the match before letting Shayna in. 2) once Shayna is alone, have whoever’s left break their pod doors. No wasted time pacing. 3) let Shayna and Asuka go longer [in fairness Asuka is injured so that’s a factor]
