I'm literally sitting there watching RAW and and both times - Seth and Sami segment and the New Day segment, I said out loud, wow who produced this segment. It was amazing. I've been watching wrestling for 26 years and the emotional grip of those segments is why we watch wrestling. Storytelling done at it's finest. I'm saying to myself I can't wait to see what Simon says cause that RAW was sick! I think it's awesome we felt the same way.

And while there was a small thought that something like this may happen, I didn't think they would go there. I'm so happy (and sad) to be wrong. Love this new era of wrestling. I think that what happened with the New Day should make everyone appreciate anything Karrion Kross is involved with going forward knowing that one way or another, it's going to lead to his opponents falling down a dark path with unexpected twists like both Kofi and Woods turning heel not just Woods. I feel like something similar would've happened to the Street Profits if Bobby didn't exit the company.

Last night was a fantastic RAW. Sami, Punk, and Seth killed it with that opening promo, with a lot of building of the future plus great callbacks of the past. Dakota Kai got a big win and feels like she's one of the favorites to win the Women's IC title. Dom looked good against Gunther and we now set up a massive card or Saturday Night Main Event. The New Day stuff was so good. While it wasn't a full break-up it was very impactful and emotional. Big props to all 3 men. I didn't expect them to turn on Big E, removing him from the group and turning heel. I still want to see Kofi and Xavier go their own ways, but this still compiling. I hope Big E is cleared, shows up at the Rumble, and takes out both Xavier and Kofi. Sami vs Seth was a fun match, but it had a flat finish being we just saw a roll-up finish with R-Truth and Pete Dunne, still, they made up for it with the return of DM Hunk himself, Drew.

So, first of all, congrats on your successful title defenses, they're well-earned! All hail the Champ! Secondly, what WWE did with that opening thing was basically start the Road to Wrestlemania about 1-2 months early and clearly someone had forgotten to tell the props department, therefore they hadn't yet hung up the big Mania sign. Anyway, Seth and Punk was fire and loads of fun, and the way Jey and Sami kept them apart and how that evolved was awesome too. Plus the Drew return at the end - just awesome. Gotta see how that continues, I smell that the Bloodline/Punk/Seth/Drew storylines are all converging towards some major payoff and resolution at Mania. The other matches were all fine I think, I loved that Gunther gave Dom a chance rather than Finn, it'll help no end with the Judgement Day storyline. Plus Finn now cleverly got himself two title defenses in one night, and I personally think he'll lose both. Anyway, we gotta talk about the New Day. I mean, it was an excellent segment and I had expected various ways this'd play out but NOT Kofi and Xavier banding together to break Big E's heart (and mine). On the other hand, all three of them are brilliant, it's cool to see the New Day back as heels (they were on-and-off heels in their early days, remember?) and I imagine this means that Big E is either cleared or close to being cleared and this will end with him straightening the other two out. Cue the big reunion, propably either at Mania or at Summerslam for the big feels. Or not - WWE is currently really good at doing stuff that we didn't quite expect and that is even better than what we thought out, so let's wait and see.

Here we had Two promos seamlessly connected in the same segment with nuance and complexity among all the characters. That New Day segment killed me. He comes out, excitement up. He talks about how disappointed he is with the guys, and how he's going to be here every week with them, excitement way up. It looked like there might have been a singlet under his suit(or maybe just hopeful wishing on my part), huge excitement way up. Kofi and Xavier turn on him and tell him all those awful things, crushing downward spiral. Big-E sadly exits the ring and walks away, depression sets in. Damn guys....that was probably the hardest hitting segment in years.
