Amidst the IAS Puja Kedkar controversy, the chairman of of UPSC, Manoj Soni has resigned five years before his tenure ends. Soni cited "personal reasons" for stepping down. Meanwhile, Fraud Puja Khedkar's Mother's Gun has also been seized.

Just cancelling IAS is not enough she has passed MBBS under non creamy certificate all the fees paid by govt should be recoveeey. All the remuneration as trainee should also be recovered and jailed for atleast 10 yrs

@@Achintyanathwe most of in Indian’s except few have a long history of non patriotic. Looking at it, we inherited the same blood in us that is consciously allowing us to any wrong for personal benefits. That was the case centuries ago. Like minded people today are voted to rule, that has taken out the fear of getting caught and punished.

The chairman was on the interview board panel who interviewed Puja Khedkar at IAS selection interview. So most probably there can be some connection between him and Puja Khedkar. So when the scam highlighted most probably to avoid the bringing the connection into limelight the chairman has resigned. The case should be handed to CBI as there are many top senior officials and politicians involved.

Speaker Om Birla's daughter passing the UPSC exam should also be probed. The way he is conducting himself as the speaker of Loksabha manifests that there must be something fishy in his daughter succeeding in the UPSC exams. Most of the coaching centers are helping the candidates to file false affidavits, fake certificates to hoodwink the examination system since many years. Most of the serving IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS officers will have to go home if an impartial investigation is conducted by an independent authority.

The caste based reservation system is stinking. Devyani Khobragade became IFS officer under the SC/ST quota and her father is retired IAS officer under the same quota. How can generations of the same family enjoy the quota benefits ?? It is time to scrap the caste based quota system. IN 1962 in his letter to the state CMs,. Nehru conceded that he made a blunder by amending the Constitution to expand the caste based quota to include the OBC !!!

*Manoj Soni has committed other unrelated crimes* System is corrupt and Manoj Soni has committed other unrelated crimes. How else did he reach the top position ? Now he is in the position to protect the culprits and they know that. Now that he has reached the top, he does not want to commit any more crimes esp. those that are under such massive spot light. If he doesn't help the culprits, then they will expose those other unrelated crimes, that he has indeed committed. If he resigns for "personal" or any other unrelated reason, he can avoid both problems, and that's what he's doing as the last resort.

I know people around me in my relation who are teacher getting free ration meant for poor people, getting awas yojana, appropriating computers radio music instruments meant for schools and yeah fake certificate is quite common.... There are people who openly claim that they got the job in JPSC bribing officials and some help from them.... No body makes complain bcz they are themselves involve in such stuff...... We are corrupt it's in our blood... One of biggest reason why our development is sooo slow.
