When asked about the question about acid attack or mob lynching here’s what I would have said - Sir, even though both the crimes are heinous at the highest order and I would have been present at both of them if it was possible. But if it ultimately came down to my choice I would have been present at the mob lynching . The acid attack would not have an escalating effect on the society as a whole , the perpetrators would be caught and reprimanded immediately. The mob lynching has a far more dangerous potential of destabilising the concerned city/ town or even the entire State if its extended effects were not controlled at the proper time. As a police administrator I would have used my patience and discretion to relent or cool down the people at the place of lynching because they all would just need one spark to get violent and break the communal peace in the state. Also given the rise of communal tensions and people believing that the country is rising in intolerance it is better to contain the lynching situation at hand first so that it remains in control.

my question to Shakti is ( 3:55): if humanities subject have more linkages to civil service preparation then why is it fresh graduates out of IIT"s are wasting their time studying engineering, a stream which they have no love for considering hardly anyone from engineering background took science or technical subject as an optional.

Moblynching...but the reason is that presence of an IPS officer would help to influence the public and help to stop the mob. The weightage of my words can mean a lot in a situation that can escalate quickly.

I think, those who already working in service should not be allowed to appear again. If they want to appear again then they should not join the service. Everyone wants to be IAS, why they feel inferior if selected for IPS IFS IRS IES etc.

I like the question why political science as an optional after engineering??? Why enginners study humanities for optional or why enginners take up core banking jobs??? What is the opportunity for humanities and commerce people left?
