Is this a step up from the Musical Fidelity MX VYNL, but a step down from the Nu Vista? On par with the M6? Any comparisons to the Gold Note or Cyrus phono stages? I’ve had this Pathos on my list as an upgrade to current phono stage. Thanks.

Great introduction to a super phono stage .. i've the black version and it gives great service big a step up from my prior Graham Slee Gram Amp 2 SE, if you are dithering about getting this Pathos phono don't ...you will be delighted and with the easy variable impedence and capacitance right on the from plus the gain on the rear you will be set for a long term keeper that can grow with you. On a seperate note Kevin, while in Italy did you come across the Atmo Sfera TT ? a rather different beast

No. It uses opamps, also called IC (integrated circuit). Definitely not the best thing for a quality phonostage

Duuno Kev I spunked a wad of CC debt on an Inpol2 and while it looked wankbank I ended up with a better sounding IMHO 40 yr old Quad 405-2. Just sayin
