Nice to see Ken here, I always loved his videos when he worked at his previous place and would love to see him do more of the same for upscale, his passion for audio is infectious and I think upscale would benefit greatly if Ken were to do more product videos!

Excellent video. And I applaud his ownership and use of the Spendor D9s. I have a pair of my own, and they are superb speakers.

Ken is a great guy and a major reason I patronized his former employer Brooks Berdan, Ltd. across town.

Ken sold me my Arcam SR250 and nice to put a name on a face. I’ve played phone tag for a bit as I’m having some issues abs hopefully he will work with me. Also my grandfather recently passed so I’ve not been great w answering my phone. The Arcam amp is such a step up from my Best Buy ‘Magnolia’ AVR

Dear Ken, a great video. I have two questions: 1. The music used in this video is great. Which music (name/album) is it? I would like to buy it. 2. Which Origin Live tonearm do you use for your woodepecker? Thank you very much.

Nice system. When did you leave Brooks Berdan? And why?
@kmd884123 жыл бұрын
I came to Upscale in January of 2020, so almost 1.5 years and I love it here. A larger selection of product lines and a higher volume of sales has been a great benefit.

you guys should have recorded this with the phone sideways, recording it vertically (the length of the phone position) makes the screen so much smaller

It's done like that intentionally. This video was made for our instagram channel.

It kinda dissapoints me that those snake oil AQ speaker cables are featured again on Upscale Audio.
@bbarnell3 жыл бұрын
If he likes the way they sound in his system, good for him. You go out and buy the cheapest hunk of lamp cord you can find and enjoy that
@kmd884123 жыл бұрын
Science is a virtue. When you understand capacitence, inductance and how electrons travel on the surface of metal you can understand why cables can help prevent signal deteriation. Diferent metals offer better conductance, like silver. Knowledge not snake oil.
@suprairc3 жыл бұрын
@@kmd88412 I do understand. I have some great speaker cables from Ricable. Of course it's important to have high quality speaker cables. But it has been tested numerous times that those high-end speaker cables from Audioquest are snake oil(not only Audioquest of course). It can't be measured, it can't be tested double blinded. The DBS system has also been tested to decrease the sound quality once there is a battery in it. It just kinda dissapoints me that Upscale Audio(which I believe are not snake-oil salesmen) is into this kind of thing.

So sad Ken got rid of his jadis amp, a Jadis PA-100 is 150 watts, of which 30 in class A This amplifier doesn't get that hot, just runs hand warm : )
