Thank God no one was hurt, though your Deere took quite a beating. You know, You Tube has these videos of guys running their dozers or shovels over a cliff, but you never think it could happen to you. The Grace of God was with you. No one is exempt from accidents. When I was working road construction I almost tipped our Huber finishing roller when I went up on the curb. So, it happens. Looking forward to your follow-up video.

Rolled my Kubota a few years ago. The right rear wheel dropped in a cavity where a tap root had been. Just rode it over and and shut it down once we stopped. Held on tight and prayed the seat belt and ROPS would hold. Shook me a little, but it makes an impression you won't forget. Glad nobody was hurt.

one of those, Oh Crap Moments, but so glad everyone is ok, and no one hurt, other than the machine. a bit of work on her and she will be good to roll again and UBC can get back at it! Times like these is the best to have your composure and make sure everyone is ok, and that you get the excavator out and upright and back on a trailer to get it back to the shop so repairs can begin. Great work John, in keeping it all together.

Sadly that's almost certainly NOT the extent of the damage. Guarantee there's stuff broken behind that panel. Maybe even bent frame around the cab. My guess? 15k repair bill minimum. So glad the operator is ok tho! Machines can be fixed much easier than people.

I never met my maternal grandfather. He fell off a tractor and into the plow and died in 1952. I was born 10 years later. I am a 60 year old diesel mechanic and over the years I've seen and heard of very many fatalities around earthmoving and agricultural machinery. These days safety is very good and fatalities have declined tremendously... I'm very happy that nobody was injured in this incident. God bless you all...👍👍👍💕

I've seen them go over 2 different ways. Swing the boom out too far with a really full bucket or the ground gives way under one side of the machine. Mostly there are no marks in the dirt to tell the story like a car wreck would have.

I got a dumb question. Why once the machine was back on it's tracks would it not operate?
@alancooke44302 жыл бұрын
Machines tend to not like being upside down. Fluids end up where they're not meant to be, oil in the cylinders, fuel, hydraulic oil, battery acid leaking. Not to mention unseen mechanical damage, lots of things that can break as soon as the key is turned

Hydralic-driven tracks. The gears inside the drive motors will not let the tracks move. If you open up the end of a drive motor there is a gear shaft that can be removed to let the track freewheel.
