The dub was made when it wasn't so mainstream to call people "they" in singular, so "he" was the most neutral term. In Japan, Crona was referred to by a "gentle" "it" ("it" doesn't have the dehumanizing weight in Japanese as it does in English), and referred to themself as such as well.

This was so funny and cute! I'm also so glad that you pointed out Crona's gender- er, well the lack of knowing of gender. Usually others say that Crona is male or female as though it's fact, which makes me kinda mad because that's wrong. So I'm so glad that you said that in the beginning. Kid is so charming, lol. And that sass! Yassss, Kid! Work it!!! XD Maka is so cute and innocent! I also loved that part where she talked about Crona and how at first she was scared o him but then after she saw into his soul, she realized that he only needed a friend. Sooooo damn adorable!!! *As you can see, I ship Maka and gender unspecified Crona. ~* And Black★Star was adorable too. I laughed so hard I almost cried when after Kid fixed the pens on the table in front of him in a perfect line, Black★Star just leaned over and messed it all up. XD That was just perfect! XDD

I can relate to this a lot, honestly. We noticed a lot of the same panels happening consecutively throughout the years we'd been going to cons, and Soul Eater seemed to be dying out a little. We're so happy that we've been able to keep it alive and bring out some of the love for the series by doing these panels, so I'm glad we're not the only ones that enjoy them!
