Question regarding this version. I just obtained one for 4 pin cobra. I want to use on my Magnum Delta Force which had 6pin rci setup. I use adaptors to allow 4 to 6 pin. This thing squeals bad on the delta force, with everything turned to minimum. If i use on 4 pin cobra it works great. Wondering why with adaptor it will now. Adaptor works for every thing else i plug in. Only this does not. Thanks

I just picked one up at a hamfest. all I can say is, WOW! Great piece of gear. It came wired for an ICOM, worked great on the 7300. I then re-wired it to use on my old Kenwood 940 and works well with it too.

I can see how the equalizer would be useful. However the echo effect sounds like something one would see on the 11 meter CB band. I was always told this was unprofessional to use these sound effects on Ham radio, I was even told that other hams would not even talk to you if you was using one of these sound effects. Please explain why you would add echo to this

There are HAMs who like the Echo, but there are HAMs who do not like the Echo. I had many HAMs asking to add an Echo to V.3 (5band EQ). I took into account the opinions of all. You can Off Echo if turn Knobs to Minimum! Echo sound good if you setup low level.

Unprofessional? And they can't figure out why the hobby is dying over here. HAM radio is Amateur. I have no idea why the HAMs insist on wearing a suit and tie to the net. This is precisely why I won't bother getting a ticket and stick to 11 meter. Strangely, the 10 meter groups come to 11 meter and chew the rag all day with me. Illegally, on rigs they're not suppose to be using on 11 meter. If that isn't proof that 10 meter is too stuffy to have any fun, I don't know what is. My .02, keep the echo. It's optional, not mandatory. I personally don't like echo, but other people do. It's not a democracy, it's a product. Products deserve options that fit a broad base.

So you still go to 11 meters to enjoy your radio time? Until all these WW2 Military Signal Corpsman die off I believe Ham Radio in the USA is doomed to wonder as it has for years... NO ONE cares about CW when you just type it out on your computer and send it...and receive it... WAKE UP, Ham Radio needs new blood, younger operators eager to use the newest technology. They are already talking around the world on the internet, with live video... wake up.
