Urabrask Storm cEDH - Mono Red Competitive Commander - Magic the Gathering

There isn't even a high definition image available for Urabrask and I already have a decklist that I brewed at 2am. Burning the midnight oil to make a phyrexian praetor deck is just a flavor win. This deck is a cEDH storm deck that attempts to cast a lot of spells in one turn for big damage, flip our commander into a saga, and then win somehow from there.

i would swap out merchant of the vale // haggle and swap in strike it rich. strike it rich is 1 mana, makes a treasure, and has flashback. i think it fits better than a single use looting card that maybe becomes a mana sink creature

Im already on Strike it Rich but I agree that Haggle is not great. Someone else suggest Wrenn’s Resolve so I’ll be swapping that

I'm not sure Urabrask trumps Birgi as a commander even though I really like him. I'd rather put him in the 99 with Birgi at the helm as a ritual. 4 cmc vs 3 cmc really makes the difference in terms of cEDH.

Love this decklist, any thoughts on adding/remvoing cards with the influx of new cards? I’ve used this list and am having a great time but I feel like it can use some tweaking, got any ideas?

@@ElderDrunkenHighlander I have a few ideas, there’s some new cards like: - Tectonic Hazard - Demand Answers - Fiery Inscription - Erebor Flamesmith - Mana Clash (my favorite just for fun) But I’m interested to see if you’d change add/remove anything to the decklist after some testing!

Those could all be good, I think Inti is also a worthy consideration as well. Card seems so gas. The main reason I was turned off to the deck initially is you gas out so quickly. I think if I remade it I would put in a tutor package for The One Ring so I could consistently fuel my storm turns.

Have you gotten to test the deck much? Your list has a bunch of the good cards, but is it chaining together long storm turns or just playing 3 instants/sorceries, flipping Urabrask, and passing the turn? In my high power build, I went way heavy into draw cantrips and it basically turns into solitare turn 4 until I find a combo win.
