Yes!! I understand collecting different patterns for smaller glass pieces. I never knew anything about them in my 20s. I just knew I loved the shapes and cuts ! Now I have you and a community that does know. It’s like solving a great crossword puzzle when I can place a pattern with a piece I’ve had for years. And... I want your shirt !! 😃

Thanks, Poodle. I love a good button up shirt. It’s fun identifying all this glass and having small samples around my house.

Katie, I just told Cyndi that every time you guys show uranium glass, I keep hearing the Mills Brothers’ song, “Glow-Worm” in my head. “Shine little glow worm, glimmer, glimmer.” Crazy, aren’t I? Great informative presentation.

I have about seven pieces, that I've collected over twenty years.*(budget!) I love them and enjoy having them displayed. I found a nice LED bulb over on Amazon that helps keep the electric cost down. ( I have that cake plate!!)

Greg, Thank you! I need to find a bulb like that. I love uranium, but it can get expensive.

How fun! My video today is uranium glass, too. I love all your historical information. I have a square friggie like yours, but without the lid. I love your Fostoria Versailles dish. I will have to check out Christie's post. I am subscribed to her, I just have lots of videos to catch up on. Angela is great.

I didn't know about putting it in windows or about Hocking/Anchor Hocking! I learn so much from you. I have lots I need to learn about uranium. I have been collecting for about 10 yrs and know nothing. There is a lot of misconception about uranium. Such as not all green depression glass is uranium, green is not vaseline and it needs to have a glow. There are lots of things that glow and have no uranium. My socks and teeth glow too with a blacklight lol. I have seen people shine flashlites on dishes and think the shine is a glow. I have cream and sugar set. I will have to see what pattern it is. Do you have any vaseline? I prefer to collect that. But hard to find in the wild.
@vintageandvinyl4 жыл бұрын
I do have a piece of Vaseline glass. It’s the Anchor Hocking Princess pattern. It’s a tea cup. You are so right about many misconceptions. And I wish I had time in this video to cover all of those. Thank you for watching, Diana!
