In the US, one notorious rodent is feared for it's ability to both build and destroy. As American Beaver populations recover from overhunting and near extinction, humans are looking for ways to prevent flooding where the beavers decide to call home.
Those who welcome the presence of these "ecosystem engineers" are rewarded, however, with the many ecological benefits that come with a beaver's constant knack to grind down it's teeth.
This idea is embraced by Beavers Northwest of Seattle, Washington, an organization that aims to help residents of Seattle live with beavers.
Due to their ability to hold onto water, beaver dams are also considered aid to climate resiliency. Some are researching this as a means to make "analog beaver dams", created to mimic a beaver dam in hopes of similar benefits.
We're beyond excited to have collaborated with Good Things Sustained, who provided super cool & cute animations for this video. Please follow & support them! / goodsustained

Co-exiting with nature to the benefit of all! Sounds like a winner to me. Maybe we can even learn to lie with each other. Thanks 🙂

Love this! The fact that they cut some trees down to be able to eat the sprouts is so interesting to me. Beavers are so cool :)

Just crazy how much time, money and effort has to be put in to replicating what these amazing animals do for free. I really hope some beaver come and take over the job for you!

I don´t understand how your videos only have this much views, they are of amazing quality and I wish you one day just blow up and go viral. You can see how much effort you put in and I hope it someday reflects in views and subscribers. Keep it up guys!
