He's reviewing the old one which doesn't work as well. Then goes on not utilizing any of the tips on their website such as wearing pants a couple inches bigger than normal. Not wearing it in the correct position. Just generally going out of his way to exaggerate issues. No holster is perfect for everyone, and this holster may in fact be the worst one for you and him according to your preferences, but this is not a fair review. If you watch their video they show a portly fellow using this holster just fine without all of these theatrics. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppy1oJmZq8uhfsk

David Hamilton the footsteps of a navy seal aren’t really silent especially when they’re walking on gravel or when their boots are squeaking and swooshing from getting wet. so its false advertising. i would say footsteps of a bunny rabbit or an illegal immigrant would be more correct and honest. but it perfectly makes sense as this product doesn’t work.

I love my Urban Carry! Not sure what you have against the company. You made some valid points, but the most useful gun is the one you have on you, and this holster is the first to allow me to carry at work. For my specific situation, the urban carry is definitely the most concealed and comfortable holster I've worn with business casual attire. What's a better option for slacks with a tucked in button up shirt? Ankle carry, pocket? It will not fall out, I've hung upside down with it. After a few training sessions it's a quick reliable draw single or double handed, I can get a solid positive grip without any trouble, I can put it on my belt in the morning in a matter of seconds, and re-holster very quickly. The only dumb thing Urban Carry did was put that stupid slot for your firearms permit; great way to get killed by the police! Maybe I got lucky and have the perfect gun or body type for this holster, but it has solved a serious problem for me. I carry a 9mm shield and have the version one Urban Carry.

Ever see those infomercials for new products that always start by having bad actors make basic tasks suddenly look inconceivably difficult to create the need for their new product that no one actually needs? Suddenly, using a regular pasta strainer is outside of the scope of human achievement, but this new product saves the day. Yeah, well that's what you look like demonstrating this holster. I don't plan on buying one, and you're probably right about it's shortcomings, but if you gave a best effort to actually make it work, that would be more honest. We've all seen the commercials, and the model there successfully and quickly draws the gun like a dozen times. You're really hamming up the problems here, and I don't know why. In truth, it probably works reasonably well from a standing position if you give it a real, authentic try. Still seems clearly inferior to other options, but you're not giving an honest review if you don't give the item a chance to succeed in your use.

Screw the Urban Carry. If you’re getting bent out of shape because he ripped on your POS holster then maybe you should take the time to actually critically evaluate the product. 1:00 this is my biggest issue, well one of them. I can't wear loose pants or have loose belts. My pants just drop. So this holster would never be something I myself can use. I tried another holster but my love handles got rubbed like crazy, so I went back to my UC2. What other holsters fit below the belt line?
@avwillis52696 жыл бұрын
Tim J smartcarry, thunderwear etc are options. You still run into the limitations he described drawing from below the belt, but you have the option of carrying it slightly higher like a bellyband. I don't really trust below the waistband with it, but I'll use thunderwear when in gym shorts. I would suggest investing in a kydex insert, ideally a dark star gear pocket shield insert, but you can get by with a trigger guard holster such as a vanguard or Dale Fricke zaccheus if you have to.

No good holster will put a gun fully below the belt line. It creates a huge problem for all but a "perfect" draw scenario.
@AKnowlton14995 жыл бұрын
I have the new G3 holster. I gave it a couple of months of tying and I agree. It is a wretched, pulsating ball of suck and fail. Granted, the G3 does hold the gun securely and there trigger is protected but all the problems remain. It binds most of the time trying to draw, denying access to the gun. Don't even try sitting down. If it doesn't bind, the draw is far to long to be able to access the gun and you have to yank the gun out the holster as well.
@elimpacto866 жыл бұрын

I JUST saw a video of how a Cop shot his finger off because he got an awkward grip on his pistol, then while he adjusted his grip, he shot off the index finger of his off hand. Ouch. If you have to adjust your grip after your draw, then you run the risk of a negligent discharge.

I haven't seen anyone point out that if you needed to conceal your draw, this seriously hinders your ability to do so. Not every defensive encounter is going to require you to pull out your gun so obviously. In fact, I'd argue most encounters have some factor of concealing your draw so you can get the drop on the perp. That alone is enough for me to give it the big seal of FAIL.

What nonsense. This man had this holster condemned before he used it. He is making simple movements seem like surgical procedures. And yes it DID look concealed. The new holsters don't even use the belt- through, and the clip DOES make a big difference especially re-holstering. He's more interested in being clever with someone else's juvenile quote. It is really nothing more than an internal leather pouch.........nothing magical about it.

Holsters is a personal choice based on function and comfort. Who knows, maybe one day I will love this holster too! BTW, if you buy it, use a blow dryer and conditioner to help soften up the leather. It is really stiff but will soften in no time if you use heat.

I have to wonder how a magnet would be the retention solution that they claim, unless it *only* targets the barrel. I mean, half of the handguns sold today are either polymer or alloy-framed, so, other than the attracting the barrel, magnets would be useless.

As stated in the other video, this holster is for people who have to have their firearm 100% concealed where it's either this or go unarmed (ie: carrying at work in office clothes against policy, etc.). Hey John, could you let us know what you think about the Protos M holster from Black Arch holsters? I watched your some of your holster videos, and it seems to meet the 3 standards you mentioned. However, it's a "3/4 hybrid" in that the kydex wraps around both sides of the trigger guard and has a retention screw, so wanted to get your opinion. The main reasons I bought it were to get the benefits of weight distribution and "slimness" from the 2 loops on either side rather than adding thickness on top of the kydex.

@seancarraher5 жыл бұрын
Active Self Protection Extra I bought the more expensive leather with a smoother finish on the outside. After the leather gets worn in like a baseball glove it forms to the gun and your leg. Did you ever try and play a baseball with a brand new glove ? Doesn’t work well. Same with this holster. These are facts. I wear it everyday. Yes I can draw sitting down. I wouldn’t be staying my case if I didn’t think it was important. This holster takes practice and wearing in to the gun and to your body. People don’t like hearing that because it takes effort and practice. If I can’t dunk a basketball I don’t blame the goal for being too high.

I think your right about the urban carry, but could you please give your thoughts on Limbsavers new holster? It's super flat and I've seriously been thinking about getting one. Thanks, I enjoy your channel
