What I appreciate about your videos is the bits of history that you give about the place you are exploring. You also make the video about the place you are exploring and don't put yourself in the way of telling the story. Good job.

Awesome video guys its awesome how you always explain the history behind the location. I just had a quick question I know a while ago you guys said you got caught before going into the Marlboro Hospital but are you ever thinking of going back because they are taking it all down soon for a park I heard
@pamelahl111 жыл бұрын
The big marble ball that you saw in the stairwell used to rest atop the main entrance on the outside of the building. The greenhouses must have been so gorgeous in the past. Now I see them as abandoned beauties, thanks to you sharing your video! I think I loved the main foyer as much as you did! :) Keep exploring & sharing!

Did you get to see Alder Manor while you were there? Alder was the estate of William B. Thompson and his original laboratories were suppose to have been built across the street from his 'country estate'...Thought maybe the interior would be as ornate as inside these buildings if it is, in fact, empty. Great video...you'd think with that much vandalism already in place, law enforcement wouldn't be that worried about your presence...

I love your vids but sometimes it is so sad to see a building like this which was at one time no less than magnificent fall into disuse and decay... A perfect example of how our society values little the things that really matter...

Always makes me sad to see big, beautiful old buildings like this left to rot away. As for the graffiti, some of it is actually really beautiful. Not all, but some.
@sooth159 жыл бұрын
It's a real shame they never converted this building into apartments. The rooms are amazing, and there's so much light! I love the tall doors with the transoms, too, and you can't beat that immensely classy entrance with the arches and columns.
@coffinspiremgmt11 жыл бұрын
thanks :)
@misstrish070811 жыл бұрын
Look how big and sunny those rooms are! The inside is gorgeous! Too bad it wasn't used as a school or something instead of rotting to nothing.. Sad to think of how many people need help and there are buildings and houses like this that are just falling down and not used. Such a waste..

First Comment. Awesome you Finally went to New York. Do you have any other New York ones?
@BrandonNeider11 жыл бұрын
Well, I'd prefer something else then a hotel as well as we already are turning our old glennwood power plant into a hotel/conference/restaurant/shopping area building. But at the sametime no one else has proposed development for this building that has been rotting away forever and has become an eyesore to that side of Yonkers.
@annaalexander859411 жыл бұрын
I am very curious to find out how much research you do before you actually go into the buildings and when you upload your videos.

Lived in Yonkers for a long time, and got to explore here before it was turned into a mini mall. Fortunately the building itself was historic so it was saved, but converted into stores and office spaces. At least the landscaping is nice? lol.

I completely agree with you. People who vandalize are pathetic people with pathetic lives who don't realize they improve nothing within themselves by their actions and actually just make their inner situation worse. I believe that vandalism is a form of self-degradation..

Yes i see your point and crazy land taxes certainly don't bode well for a positive outcome.If those taxes were waived, i believe it would picked up in a flash..The more i see of old America rotting away,the sadder i get.It really goes to show,that a severe divergence from the founding principles can have almost mortal wounding effect on a country..because almost all TUC's vids are of a America that was so so product..it's hard to believe..looking at what America was 50yrs ago.

It's a shame that beautiful structures like this have to be tagged with graffiti before they "die". In a sense, your vids are preserving them before they are gone forever. Another nice vid.

Must have been a beautiful place in it's day. I will never understand the mindset of people that feel the need to destroy, to shatter, to "tag". I am so tired of hearing about the "beauty" of grafitti...it is destruction, pure and simple, and such a shame. You come across some beautiful old buildings, and every single one of them are covered in this ugliness. Keep on doing what you do!

I'am glad something is going to be done with it,although in the economic climate,your more likely to open some type of space where Artists can work,because it would cost millions to do it up and who's going spend that?..Bloomberg!!??..not likley. Artist are the only type to willing live in a less then suitable place if it means large work area (look at detroit) for there projects.Just my 2 cents.

How about plant research??? As completely wasteful as the US university systems are with money (admin gets 50% of a research grant) private research institutes are much more efficient and effective.
