Hi David, you mentioned that you preped the data for use. It would help if you could show the prepping and accessing the data from the Toronto Open Data site. Thanks.

Hi there, do you know where to access City Open Data. In the video you used the Toronto Open Data to gain access to the massing models and streets. How do i go about obtaining that myself?

The City of Toronto publishes its open data in a catalogue that you will find here: open.toronto.ca/ - a search for '3D' should turn up the 3D Massing dataset, which you can download directly from their catalogue.

hi. downloaded the program. but when downloading a map of the selected location, a warning appears to me: "you must be signed in to an argcis online portal to dowland elevation data", but my session is open. what could be the reason? Thanks for your reply...

Hi there, if you go to 13:00 in the video you will see at the top right of the screen that I am signed into CityEngine with my ArcGIS account. If you do not see your name appearing there, then click on the sign-in link and sign-in with your ArcGIS username and password. Alternatively, you can click on "File > Sign In" from the menu bar. If that doesn't work, then you might have to contact your IT person to ensure that your ArcGIS account has access to a CityEngine license. I hope this helps!

hi david, how you doin. i'm new to city engine and i just downloaded a trial version to explore the capability of this application. i downloaded the complete street rule which you provided but i was wondering where to put this folder? big thank's to your reply. good day. :)

Hi Percival, the best way to import the Complete Street ruleset would be to download the zip file from github.com/d-wasserman/Complete_Street_Rule (click Clone or Download, and then Download Zip). Once you have the zip file downloaded, go to CityEngine and click on File > Import/Link Project Folder into Workspace, and check the "Select Archive File" button. Then browse to the zip file that you downloaded and click ok. CityEngine will import the Complete Street Ruleset into your CityEngine workspace. Hope this helps! - David
