Nope the Shiver cannot sound exactly like a Monster, because one is a V twin, and the other is a L twin, the degree is different so the sound is not exactly the same Bossku.

I can't remember all of it, but if not mistaken: - T-Rex frame/axel/swingarm sliders - Samco water hoses - Carbon fiber belly pan - Seat cowl - Transparent clutch cover - "custom operated" Akrapovic exhaust + link pipe - Custom made tail tidy That's all I can recall.

Have not heard of any issues with the Shiver from friends that ride it. Same for the MT-09 as well, apart from the somewhat soft suspension and throttle input. The price difference is about MYR 10k between the two models, so it's really your call. You could get the Shiver and have extra 10k to spend on accessories, or get the MT-09 and save up more for accessories. :) Welcome to the biker world, RSSR!

It's imitation of the original belly pan from Aprilia but made using carbon fiber.

Normally how much does it cost for roadtax and insurance for shiver?

Road tax should be 350 if not mistaken, otherwise it's 250. Insurance depends on the insured amount and single/all rider coverage. For a new bike without any NCD, more than 1k if not mistaken.

Shiver is alright for tall people because Shiver is a bit higher than the other bikes similar to it's class. The price of the Shiver now is quite reasonable and is a good buy.

Never tried the MT-07, can't comment on that bike. Shiver is good bike, ride by wire, sounds mean (with aftermarket mufflers), can be a little hot if ridden slow/traffic jam. Take it for a test ride at Naza Aprilia Kampung Baru.

tu I never tried MT07 but it has 25kg less which is amazing. Shiver is not ideal for traffic jams, I find it heavy, it get hot under the seat due to the exhaust then maybe MT07 is better for heavy traffic commuting. MT07 naked version does not look as attractive as the shiver. In France the Shiver never succeeded in sales. Aprilia here is more successful with scooters.

To be honest, I'm a noob myself (yay kita geng), because I don't actually own a Shiver. Based on my friend's feedback, the bike is awesome, he used it for daily, highway travel (KL-JB), track days. No issues. Regular maintenance is on par as other superbikes. Parts, depending on what part if damaged/broken, it get a bit costly. Fetching pillion is also no problem, but the pillion will feel some of the heat from the exhaust (because of under-tail), and the back also, from the vortex effect when riding as the turbulence will draw some of the hot exhaust gas right at the back of the pillion, see image as example (orange/red color area). cdn4.explainthatstuff.com/laminar-turbulent-flow-wind-tunnel.jpg

It's more or less similar with Shiver mostly ergonomics and maybe a bit more torque, the Dorsoduro more towards being a supermoto style while the Shiver is naked. I'm not so familiar with the Dorsoduro though.

I would say they are both similar, but the Shiver might have more vibration than the XJ6 because of the different engine.

The pan is mirrored (imitated) off a pan made by Aprilia, it's not modified from some other bike. My friend got it from a local seller that makes carbon fiber stuff. I don't have much details, sorry!

The sound is a gutted Akrapovic muffler with the air-box removed and replaced with Y pipe. Other mods are cosmetic like wind shield, belly pan, see-through engine case cover.
