They can switch lanes, no issue with that, but HOW most of them switch lane is the problem, they don't look at their mirrors, they don't signal, or just signal when already in the midst of switching.. If you give advance signal and check your mirrors, you can change the lane like a pro.

If they give early signal we can react and slow down for them, that's fine, but sometimes they suddenly flash the signal and want to switch, you have to suddenly stop or swerve, that's not fine.

Just a quick example, a ZX6R comes in at about MYR 35,000 and after it leaves the port (customs) and in the showroom, it's MYR 74,000. Figures are rough estimates and not exact, but you get the idea.

It's quite subjective, it all depends on how frequent you use the bike. A daily use would obviously incur more expenses than if just use on the weekend, or twice a month, etc. I cannot really give a good estimation on a per year basis. Here's a rough breakdown per time that you perform it. Engine oil + oil filter ~ MYR250 Chain + sprocket ~ MYR500 Brake pads ~ MYR400 Tires ~ MYR1100 Don't forget you need to have yearly road tax and insurance costs.

TheSighBored yea agree. And your'e not alone. Even at my place people didn't use their side mirror, no signals, even some almost squeezed a car passing by. What worse is that some driver is on their phone. If a car they cannot see, what about bikes that is smaller than any car out there. I can tolerate who gave their signal before changing lane and respect for those who gave lane to me. But driving like they own the road is not getting any respect.

You're pretty light weight. Also I actually raised the rear of my ZX6R by 4mm, still no issue with foot reach.

You can remove the cables, just leave the servo in the bike until you get the servo eliminator.

It's a real shame they didn't organize a urban ride-about in the heart of the city, I would definitely join in.. And let the rev bomb fest chorus loudly throughout the city.. :) Maybe the community organizers should consider such a ride next time, because the riders are not all from KL, some came from outstation, at least can take them on a tour around the city.

If it's organized it's fine, some people appreciate the noise making, and it's not all day and night long. Like a parade. There are MANY MANY MANY more things that can be done to ruin bikers image than an organized urban ride about with a few rev bombs. Enjoy life. :)

TheSighBored sport bikes (including naked one) are fast. one second they (car drivers) look at the side mirror and nothing there and they start switching, another second a sport bike pop up. undeniably as*holes and incompetent drivers do exist, that is why bikers should ride slower for own sake. more need to be done to encourage drivers to adhere to traffic rules but it's really not easy. ride safe.

Rev bombing is not sign of terbawa emosi, it's a signal for "don't kill me I'm right beside you". When filtering I don't filter that fast because of potential incidents like these, there are people that actually filter so much faster than what you see. Again, it's not about who is right, who is wrong, it's about looking out before you do something.
