I think with this tutorial I finally understand perspective. The finger on the point is a golden tip. Thank you so much!! I gave you some tip, which I hope it will arrive you because this is my first time i did that on KZbin. Thanks again!

That was great Scottie! As usual, you show how what looks like a complex image can be broken down and tackled.

I sketched and painted with you. Your tips on perspective help a lot. Thank you for another good one.

@sketchingscottie Thanks for sharing ! This tutorial covers composition, proportions and perspective all in a single video. The outcome nicely fits in the classic "sketch" category. When sketching in person , what is your recommendation for drawing windows in1 point perspective ?
@SketchingScottie6 ай бұрын
I think just following the same ideas. Find the vanishing point, which is where all the horizontal lines in the scene converge to one point. Once you find that point, you know where to aim all the lines to for your windows.

Horizon line is the focal point of the object you watch ? In other words,if you move your eyes and watch at the different level, the horizon line will be at different position. So once we start drawing , we can not change the VP . Is my understanding right ? Thanks Scottie.

Yes, if you start a sketch from sitting and then climb a ladder to finish the sketch it will change the perspective of the scene 👍🏼

Hi scottie...what is your opinion on greyscale markers tombow or copic? I feel many urban Sketchers do just one or two scale vlsue sketches. Why cant we directly use value scale markers? Please comment. I m leaving watercolor behind for this discussion

You can use them if you like. I prefer watercolors but feel free to use whatever suits you!
