Glenn Miller did not write or arrange In The Mood. It was written by Joe Garland. Glenn made the most famous recording of the piece in 1939

Glenn Miller scored all the solos, wrote the trumpets closer from a head chart. Artie Shaw and Benny Goodman also did a version but never made half the bucks Miller did. The man scaled down the piece to manageable commercial piece.

Eddie Durham was the primary arranger.

You're right Katherine Griffiths. Made famous by Glenn Miller.

That famos cover only drives of course the great trumpets and violins - both leading saxes are without spirit!

can anyone hear the strings? I cannot... are they faking? It appears so...

It’s funny, the only thing they lack is the intensity of the notes of the original , but that probably came from the copious amounts of cocaine they were ingesting at the time

Put brass and strings together and you have immediately something better, than Beatles and Rolling Stones .

good try but maybe a bit more practice? this was just a little sloppy.
