Esther Sherman - My favorite song is the Ten commandments. The story goes that in the Caribbeans, where Hamilton was as a child, were 8 Jewish families survivors of the Inquisition in Spain in the 14th Century. One of the Jewish commandments. Hamilton knew the Ten commandments in Hebrew. I believe that Hamilton ideals were formed by this teacher and were the back bone that pushed him forward......

One of the Jewish teachers taught Hamilton the Ten commandments. Hamilton son in his biography of his father said that the only thing Hamilton remembered of his childhood was the Ten Commandments in Hebrew.

Alexander Hamilton is the only Founding Father I admire. I studied intensely all about him in the 1980s when I was in banking. I was so touched by this wonderful human being. I got so angry when I found out about the way he lost his life and the way we lost him so young. A silly duel. I am an amateur historian interested and passionate about history from 1900 all the way to 500BC. I do history in combination with archaeology. Thank you so much for your presentation of Mr. Hamilton. Ariel Viera your video is the third I have relished this weekend. Thank you for the surprising tour by Miss Karen Quinones. Thank you for this outstanding documentary, Ariel! In Europe, there’s a lot of talk about Alexander Hamilton right now because Europe is planning to assume debt at the federal level for the first time (to cope with the crisis), just as Hamilton proposed for the US when he was secretary of the treasury. It was a very good move for the economic power of the American Union, the hope is that it’s also good for Europe. For me the yellow Dutch bricks were interesting, because you see them everywhere in old Dutch towns. I had no idea that the quality was so good. I now understand the saying ‘if it ain’t Dutch it ain’t much’ better. 😉 I’ve bought the book about Theodosia Burr and my first impression is that Karen writes as well as she talks. Theodosia was a very interesting woman!
@UrbanistExploringCities4 жыл бұрын
Hey Auke, I'm so happy you enjoyed this video and that you got the Theodosia Burr book! That's fascinating that it's only until now that Europe is adopting Hamilton's ideas. And oooh I can't wait to visit Netherlands one day soon and see those yellow bricks myself!

Cut those parts out and start the dialogue from the subject again if necessary. Made it feel very unprofessional in certain areas.
