My Remis blinds were fitted 5 years ago and have stood up to the test of time. Yes it's now a fiddly job if you need to remove the pillar trim but we wouldn't be without them. They stand clear off the windscreen and don't absorb moisture when condensated, however I felt the drivers door blind trim obstructed my view of the standard wing mirror. So after a few scary episodes of blind spot/near miss I fitted an extended arm drivers wing mirror. I'm also sure that the previous owner only paid about £300 for the blinds in 2016. 😲
@UrbanVanlife3 жыл бұрын
Now £300 is a great price . And YES YES YES the placement on the driver side blind dose obstruct the mirror a lot and I’m not happy about that at all . Part of me feels it wouldn’t pass the mot if they bothered to check it . I really think that could be altered
@kinavans3 жыл бұрын
You may well be correct about the MOT and yes, a small shift rearward of the side blind centre upright would be a welcome and safe redesign. My extended arm wing mirror does not look out of place and I'm the only one that notices, it does however make me nervous when meeting oncoming vehicles with big/wide wing mirrors otherwise its the perfect solution to the Remis "blind spot". Thinking about it, I'm sure or European neighbours will have the same issue but on their drivers side. Thanks for all the helpful and entertaining videos BTW. 👍🏻

Anyone considering buying these blinds should realise that the drivers vision is obstructed by the rhs blind, with them fitted you can only see half of the door mirror unless you lean forward. Thats a real pain.
@Memyselfandvan3 жыл бұрын
Fitted my two door blinds today, REMis, and agree, quality is shockingly flimsy. I'm not happy with the supplied screws and washers so I'll be added hard foam backing in screw positions, and add better screws and hard plastic washers.
